In this RPG adventure, our usual heroine of the Neptunia series, Neptune, is transformed into a motorcycle and now IF, who has always been supporting Neptune from the side, must take main stage! With the help of the Sega Hard Girls, IF must jump, dash, climb, and crawl her way to recover the lost history of the Grand Library. With an intense combat system that allows players to change classes or gain the edge in battle with Fever Time, the journey to save the world Iffy-cially starts! A collaboration project between ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko and SEGA, the Sega Hard Girls are made up of various Sega consoles, including the Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, and Mega Drive! These anthropomorphized consoles are girls with an array of personalities and spunk, and this time they are teaming up with Neptune and IF for an all-new adventure!

The game has all that silly zaniness that you come to expect with a Neptunia game. When it comes to the game’s performance if you play it on the PlaystationTV there are some areas where the frame rate drops. However, when I played on my Vita handheld there was no issues at all. Bottom line with the story, humor, gameplay and performance I’d give this a solid 8/10 and would Nep again!

This game does not disappoint. I usually don’t preorder games since I don’t usually trust the marketing and hype of most games and I like waiting for the reviews to come out, Idea Factory games are the exception to that rule. Ever since the 1st Neptunia the series has only gotten better and better and this game is probably the best yet.For those who don’t know what Neptunia is it’s a franchise about personified video game consoles fighting over the land of gamindustri. Each of the main characters in the franchise is based off 1 of the 4 major console manufacturers (Sega, Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft). Since this is a spinoff only Sega’s representative Neptune is making a appearance. Neptune is meant to be a reference to the Sega Neptune which is a canceled Sega console from back in the day, Neptune is best known for her random humor and 4th wall breaks that rival that of deadpool (she is pretty much video game deadpool). The Sega Hard Girls on the other hand are Sega’s very own franchise about personified video game consoles. While Neptunia is a franchise with 10+ games under its belt the Sega Hard Girls have a anime and a light novel (both of which are pretty good)Let me start off by praising Idea Factory for deciding to get the rights to use the Sega Hard Girls for this game. Hyperdimension Neptunia and the Sega Hard Girls are among my favorite franchises of all time and seeing a crossover game like this is utter genius!!! Having IF has the main character is a refreshing c.
