I bought this game and now have all three Ninja Turtles games for my gamecube. The first were good, the second one being extremely good, but the third is a great game and unlike the 1st and 2nd games, Mutant Nightmare has a variety of stages from the traditional scroller to rail levels and even target shooting!!! I’ve played this game with my little sister and she loves it!! Now, when I bought this I have to confess that my expectations for it was very high and have been let down a bit. What I don’t like about this game is that all four turtles are with you througout the whole game and it’s not like one or two turtles according to how many people are playing, but all four are there regardless. It can be irritating if you’re trying to go off someplace and waiting for the other turtles to follow you; what I don’t mind though, is that, unlike part 2, each turtle has their own health. That part is good, since you don’t have to worry about dying and get a game over just for one turtle dying. lol. Also, a con is that the missions tend to be shorter than all three present games; just as soon as you get into the levels, it’s over before you know it. While this can be a blessing (cause some levels you’re lost like crazy) this can also be a disappointment because it keeps the excitement of the game to a very rare minimal to where you really don’t get charged to play and even bordem. But, nevertheless, when you consider how many missons you have to go through, it’s no wonder things a.

I didn’t pick up the first two Ninja Turtles games on account of bad reviews, but I took a gamble on Mutant Nightmare and I’m glad I did. Those who have been holding out for a decent, button-mashing brawler like the old school arcades will finally have something to cheer about. This isn’t a perfect game, but it’s close enough that fans can finally be nostalgic again.Presentation-wise, Mutant Nightmare comes loaded. A cool new CG intro, loads of cutscenes ripped from the tv series, the original VAs, and graphics and levels modelled after the show. The game basically recaps the major season 3 plotlines, including the Triceraton invasion, Bishop’s experiments, and Shredder’s exodus. Plus there are special bonus levels based on a certain time-traveling mini-arc that fans will appreciate.Gameplay-wise, Mutant Nightmare also does pretty well. All four turtles will always be onscreen now, and those not controlled by players will be taken over by the CPU. It does make the game somewhat easier, but it’s also great to see the Turtles fighting together. The AI does its share of the fighting, so players don’t feel like it’s still all up to them. Basic combos are responsive, and the game finds a nice balance between the number of enemies and how hard it is to clobber them.A few nitpicks: More enemy variety could’ve been included, as well as cooler interactive environments. All 3D brawlers seem to suffer from this, moreso than the old 2D ones. The game also tries to recreate those old psue.

This game is too short. I was able to beat the game + the arcade in 10 hours. I like the story and everything. THe gameplay was funny too. But overall, I was able to beat the game way too fast and the story was too short.
