This game definitely holds it’s own with any other shooter of today, a great interactive campaign (even if it gets confusing at times), an amazing multiplayer with a large variety of intuitive weapons maps and modes, and a wide array of playable characters.

This was the first gamecube game I bought and it is so good, I’ve been playing it for months and I still am. The controls are really tight, and the action is awesome in 4 player multiplayer matches. Its also cool to play the story mode co-op with your friend.

Was one of my favorite as a kid… Oh the memories… :’)

This game is probably the best game I ever owned on PS2 and Im writing about it 4 years after I first owned it, thats how good it is. Although people are right, its meant to be played with friends. If you have 2-4 people this game is unbelievable, yeah you can play solo and its still fun but what takes this game to the next level is its multiplayer fun. You will literally spend hours playing this game with your friends in one sitting. Buy now its so cheap!

This game is simply amazing. TimeSplitters 2 has some of the best graphics ive ever seen. Also, this is one of those rare games where you wont be bored out it in a week. The game has so many modes (story, arcade, challenge, mulitplayer). You can play with your friends or just blast people by yourself. I bought this yesterday and i cant stop playing it. Definitely one of the best games, a must have for any PS2 owner.

Timesplitters 2 is a first-person shooter similar to Doom, Quake, Halo, and many others. Crisp graphics, a smooth frame rate, responsive gameplay, great music…everything is top notch (at least as far as the PS2’s capabilities go). What sets it apart from other typical games in the genre, however, is the wild variety of environments, characters, and weapons. It includes over 10 different times and locations ranging from the old west to futuristic cities, plus over 20 different weapons overall (shotguns, crossbows, laserguns, rocket launchers, flamethrowers, you name it). Timespitters 2 takes itself less seriously than other fps. With cartoonish style graphics, and humorous cinemas obviously poking fun of today’s pop-culture movies, it’s a welcome change from the typical war-hardened commando theme found in most of these games. As far as modes and options go, Timesplitters 2 has you covered there too. After you’ve plowed through the story mode, there are still a massive amount of arcade and challenge battles to keep you busy. Factor in the multiplayer matches and the map editor mode, and this game has almost limitless replay value. The only thing missing from this game is a jump button, but once you get into playing for a while you probably won’t even notice it’s absent. While in terms of gameplay balance and graphical quality Halo still has this game beat, Timesplitters 2 remains an excellent choice for any fan of the first-person shooter genre.

I’ll start off with the bad, because it won’t take long. The online play was yanked at the last minute, though you can still use an iLink for LAN multi-play. That’s it.This game is just a blast to play, and there are enough new developments over the first game in the series which should bring back fans. There are now 16 customizable Arcade modes, a ridiculous amount of characters to unlock, plus the returning and revamped Story and Challenge games. Free Radical kept everything that was fun about TS, added depth to the gameplay and storyline, and gave us a great polished game which will please both hardcore gamers and players new to the genre. But the most important–and these days, rare–thing is that there is a ton of replay value to this game. Expect to log dozens of hours perfecting your skill and unlocking everything. Rent it first if you want, but you’ll be hooked.
