Well, at first, getting used to the controls in TimeSplitters2, it felt a little bit stupid. The auto aim was awful, the graphics didn’t immediatly impress me, and the overall gameplay was just boring. But I kept playing, and soon I found myself on the second mission, kicking butt, and realized 2 hours had passed. I had to stop and tell the world! “Why?” THIS GAME IS AWSOME!…1. Gameplay: First off, if you’re an expierienced gamer, shut the auto-aim OFF in preferences. It really kills the gameplay. Second, realize how cool the gameplay is. There are dozens of guns to try out, the graphics are awsome, and your enemies actually use their brain. That’s what made this game such a challenge. To begin the game, you see a little movie about an Alien race called the “TimeSplitters” . They travel through time, and are here to take over the world. So Earth sends out a last hope with a group of Marines. They send 2 (you and if you have a friend, a second person) marines on to the Alien’s ship. They battle their way to the bridge, where 9 Aliens have already disapeared into a time warp. Each is in a different time with a time crystal you have to retrieve. So you follow these Aliens through each time period, shooting your way through anything from zombies, guards, aliens, other marines, spies, robots, etc…it’s really cool. Once you finish the game, the world is saved. The thing is, once you beat a game on the hardest level, u unlock an even harder difficulty setting. Can u beat it on a.

"Timesplitters 2" is a game about time-jumping aliens who mess up human history; so, as a wide cast of characters, you go back through different periods of history to retrieve those pesky time crysals, as well as just generally blowing things up.Sounds like any other FPS to begin with, but "Timesplittes 2" offers unique weapon, enemy, and level design, great music, somewhat cartoony graphics, and a little bit of humor. On top of that, the multi-player is second to none, what with an easy-to-use level editor.Nothing exactly thought-provoking, but just a great deal of fun.

In a crowded genre it takes a special kind of game to stand up and be counted. Timesplitters 2, though over a year old, nevertheless remains one of the finest console FP shooters ever devised, marrying a sturdy, smooth and frantic single player mode with a literal ton of multiplayer options. You should own this game. Especially if you are a monkey.Fans of the original game will recall the basic format. The eponymous Timesplitters, a bunch of drooling alien villains, are attempting to subvert human history by invading various historically iconic eras and buggering them up. In an effort to prevent the downfall of mankind, two plucky space marines have infiltrated the Timesplitter’s space-station HQ, hopped into a time portal, and set off to set history to rights, via (of course) the medium of massive shooty weapons. This sequel essentially ups the single-player ante with a much needed injection of plot, and even more guns, babes, mission objectives and the like, and wraps it all up in gloriously smooth cartoon graphics. The character models and level textures aren’t really much to write home about these days, but throw in a near ceaseless barrage of explosions, glowing tracer fire, whooping aliens and ricocheting blaster fire, and you’ve got one very polished visual stunner to play with.Aurally, TS2 is just as punchy, with plenty of excellent weapon effects, and some wonderfully cartoonish vocals, such as the individual grunts or screams of the 150+ playable characters. Perhaps.

definetly one of the best if not the best ps2 games i own. the graphiks are smooth, (the best way i kan deskribe them) tons of charakters to get, so u definetly wont get bored playing alone, but multiplayer mode is where this game is really, really fun. i have very few problems with this game, the fakt that there isnt ne blood takes away slightly from the satisfaktion in a kill sometimes, but that kould be just me… neway i must say i am very satisfied with this game!

If the majority of your gaming time is spent playing with friends, then you should definately get Timesplitters 2. There are 16 multiplayer modes, tons of levels, over 100 characters and the frame rate never dips below 60 FPS even during frantic multiplayer matches. Plus, if you’re so lucky, you can hook up multiple PS2 systems and TVs and play with up to 16 players. Another great feature is a co-op mode in which you and a friend can relive the story mode of TS2. The only negative I’ve encountered with the multiplayer is that in the Assault mode you can never be on the defending team, a major disappointment for me. If you don’t know what I’m talking about then you wouldn’t have noticed it in the game (:The single player story mode is average and nothing special. The story line is weak and the levels are short. However, the numerous arcade modes and challenges are entertaining.Basically, if you’re having a party or play videogames with friends, you need to get TS2 (note-at the outset only a few multiplayer modes are available-you need to put in about 2-3 hours of single player work to unlock all those modes).
