This game has so much good going on with it. For starters the core RPG gameplay mechanics are very good, trying and succeeding with blending the rock-paper-scizzors strength and weakness that have been a staple I’m both Fire Emblem and the Shin Megumi Tensai series. While I wasn’t crazy about the idol theme at the start the game won me over with its great visuals and killer ost. Totally recommended and wort your time if you are into Jrpgs.

  2. Izzy S

This game is so over the top and ridiculous. The acrobatics, the music, the art, the stories and the gameplay are incredible. This story is a great change of pace from your traditional recycled stories from games in the same genre. You will randomly laugh throughout the game.I’m 52 hours in the game and I’m still loving it. Just when you think you’ve gotten accustomed to the gameplay, a new mechanic comes into play. This keeps the game fresh and entertaining.Get it! You must play this game!

  3. Kenny Ramos Bonet

One of the best JRPG for Wii U

  4. H

The game is absolutely phenomenal. I’ve been playing RPGs for 25 years and this reminds me of the glory days. Combines two awesome franchises and is just fun to play. Story is nonsense at times, but the combat is fluid, exciting and I feel the grind of leveling up is not as bad due to this. Great game. Also, regarding those who are complaining about Nintendo censoring the cleavage and other examples of T&A (you know cause, in anime, which this game is certainly that style, plot equates lots of boob/cleavage/pelvic shots) just Google stuff if that’s what you want to see. If that missing is harming your ability to enjoy this game than you’re not playing this game for any other reason, but to see that and not to enjoy an amazing game.

  5. Steven

If you’re a fan of Persona, you will enjoy this game. If you’re a fan of Fire Emblem, it isn’t really anything like the games but you will enjoy seeing these characters in a new light

Christmas gift for 16 yo. No complaints whatsoever from him, so I assume all is good in the world of gaming. No issues with packaging or delivery.

The Wii U in room had been collecting dust for some time now. Besides the occasional multiplayer sessions with friends, I felt as though my decision to purchase the system was rash. Then Tokyo Mirage Sessions came along.Tokyo Mirage absolutely deviates away from the norm and provides a unique (in a good way) experience. You’re basically a Jpop star who happens to fight other-worldly beings on the side. The battle system forces you strategically plan out your next move and is highly entertaining. By the time the end credits rolled, I had invested over 60 hours into this game.If you are looking for a fun JRPG, I highly recommend buying this game.**I just noticed that some people are rating this game with 1-star due to censorship. It’s a shame some people are leaving a 1-star review out of frustration without even playing the game.**

I wanted to love this game on a Persona level, but there are a few things holding it back (I still really enjoy it though). The game is ONLY in japanese, with english subtitles, which is not my preferred way of playing JRPGs. You can’t play the game through the gamepad, as its used as a text messaging tool in game, and for that reason you also can’t route the audio through the game pad with headphones either, all audio goes through the TV. I play my games late at night, so this was a problem for me and I had to get an adapter to plug my headphones directly into the TV, which makes volume control difficult. Those things aside, the gameplay and upgrade system is awesome. The story is a bit silly, and not as engaging and heart warming or breaking as something like Persona 4, but it has a similar vibe and overall I enjoyed it. I think it’ll do a good job of holding you over until Persona 5 comes out, but don’t expect Persona 4 quality in terms of story here. Overall, I recommend the game.

  9. S

This is the most fun I’ve had with a JRPG in a long time, but for a crossover it definitely leans heavier towards Persona than Fire Emblem. With a fun setting that doesn’t take itself too seriously, a flashy and fun combat system, a lovably goofy plot and characters taken straight out of the "Anime Cliche 101" handbook, it’s a great, silly time that will last you about 60 hours depending on your personal preference with grinding.

  10. Devan

This game is wacky and you need to like anime and Japanese pop music but it is was the best RPG I’ve played in a long time and by far my favorite game for Wii U so far.
