Any fan of Japanese cars and tuning will enjoy this game. I highly recommend it along with its successor, Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3.

I rented this game and thought it was great. Although it doesn’t have the GT3 graphics it comes close. If you’ve played GT3 you can’t change body panels on your car, but in TER0 you can. The cars aren’t licensed by the manufacturers, but look like the real cars(NSX, Supra, Skyline etc.)they are named by mumbo jumbo letters and numbers. You can Change The cars name to what ever you want. You can change the car color if you want, the body with spiolers, side skirts etc. and sup up the engine and suspension. The gameplay is great. you race racers on the street with traffic coming straight at you. There is over 200 miles of road to Race! Also there are many many racers that race you. The racers are AI, they even cover gaps so you don’t pass them. The higher your rank in the game the more money you get but the racers are more difficult to beat. This game is great fun with hours of gameplay. The only complaint i have is that there aren’t any cops.

This game is a worthy purchase…lots of rivals to race and cars to customize. Graphics are descent as well as the in-game music. If you enjoyed Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3, then you will enjoy this one as well.

This game is better then GT3. GT3 u could not change the parts like in Racer Zero. In TERZ u can put different wings on the car and front bumpers…so u can change around the whole body look…in gt3 u cant. For people who r into cars this is the best game for u. This game is not licensed so it does not have the car names but if u know a little about cars u can tell they r real…for example u can tell they have a 300ZX and a RX7 and supra and all real cars like that.

I was a little disappointed in GT3. The graphics were awsome but I just could not get into it like I did the other 2. It just seemed too similar to me. But TER is another matter. I just loved it from the start. The racing is fast and fun. The graphics although not quite up to GT3 are not far off and are pretty darn good. There is a big selection of cars which I always enjoy and alot of things you can do too them. Not as much as they could have maybe. But enough to have fun with. My big problem is that I spend the money on making the car look hot and not on making it faster. The temptaion to add stickers and stuff is just too much. If you want to play something different to GT3 or were a little disappointed in GT3 like I was, then give this game a look.

A friend and i rented this game a long time ago… a really long time ago sense i used the phrase “rented this game”. we played it all night, did some awesome racing and car mods. about a month later i found it for sale and it was mine. i didnt play it much after that until i broke my shoulder and couldnt do anything for a month, except play video games. i logged days not hours but days into this. lots of fun and still time to time ill fire up the ol ps2 and give it a go.

The only problem I’ve ever had with this game is that the levels of each aero types couldn’t be chosen by preferences if you wanted a better car as the game defines. Still, the battle racing and the boss races are the best.
