O.k. don’t get me wrong I did like Legend but there are some flaws with this game. I thought all the previous flaws from AOD would be worked out but sadly not all of them were. A BIG improvement yes!! but not perfect by any means. Here are the flaws with this game.1. Some of the camera angles were bad.2. The button sequence parts got annoying after awhile.3. Blasted grenades! Yeah you got them but so do the enemy and they love to use them!!4. Tigers & leopards. Annoying plus how many bullets does it take to actually kill a leopard. Too many if you ask me.5.Sound wise sometimes it was hard to hear Lara talking to Zip and the other guy. This lowered my enjoyment of the game since I didn’t really know what they said to each other half of the time.6. THE MAJOR FLAW WAS IT WAS MUCH TOO SHORT!! THE ENDING WAS VERY GOOD BUT MUCH TOO SHORT!!!7. NO replayability much like KINGDOM HEARTS 2.The stuff They improved:1. The detail in this game was awesome!! From the smoke coming from her just fired guns to when she gets out of the water she actually looks wet(her hair, her clothes, her skin), realistic shadows, her breath coming out when it’s cold.2. Love Lara’s new moves!!3. Love the motor bike parts in the game.4. New Personal Light Source Yes! so much better than flares!!5. Plenty of health packs6. plenty of ammo and weapons7. Cool outfits (what can I say I’m such a girl)8. Sound wise (music) pretty good.9. Binoculars (RAD mode) pretty dang helpful10. Excaliber oh yeah!!11. The ending.

I was lucky to experience this game a few days early, and I have to say I have not had this much fun in a long time.Tomb Raider is back, with a vengeance. Forget the used Tomb Raider Chronicles, forget the botched Angel of Darkness. What Crystal Dynamics is giving us here is a completely rethought franchise.Depending on the quality of your hardware, you’ll either be amazed by the graphics, or completely bedazzled. Tomb Raider now actually looks good, and not just the lush curves (and expressive face) of its archaeologist heroine. The environments are masterfully crafted, and (thanks to an game engine completely rewritten since the past episodes) manage to successfully break from the cube-geometry we’ve all been used to.But, but, but-Tomb Raider doesn’t only *look* good, it also sounds wicked!! I would never have imagined how big a difference the audio voice-over makes. Indeed, Keeley Hawes is excellent (*excellent*!! “I haven’t the foggiest.”), and gives Lara some added depth and class. I promise you’ll come to love the witty banter exchanged by Lara and her faithful geek team. The obvious aim of the designers was to make this feel as much as a movie as possible-hence the “action sequences”, sort of interactive cinematics. While I have to confess they do not always succeed (and, having to play through the same, at the beginning of a checkpoint “interactive cinematic” over and over, is maddening!!), they are none-the-less a commendable attempt to diversify the action. On the ot.

I’m about half through and it’s great. The game arrived new. I use walkthroughs to help me through tricky areas :)

Lara Croft has been the most played character in gaming history. A record like Wilt Chamberlain scoring a hundred points in an NBA game, Lara may never be surpassed either. The two TRs that were the most similar in play and total gaming were #2 & #3. I still like their look on PC even today. #1’s graphics were pixelated, but we loved it all the same. #4 & #5 are good too. Now, TR:AOD(1st PS2 game), everyone complains about, but everyone that slammed it, finished it, and maybe even played it again. No one ever says that they played the first level and quit or threw the game away, which I’ve done before(Doom3’s one dimensional play). Tomb Raider will always be the thinking person’s game, not the fast twitch kill 50 monsters in-a-row type of game. TR:AOD was a very good game with a not very good control scheme. I really liked the colorful graphics compared to the new incarnations of muted colors in Legend, Anniv., and Underworld. Another game that everyone complains about is Rez Evil4(pc), but is one best playing games around. Legend is the best of the new bunch(AOD,Legend,Anniv., and now Underworld), with few glitches and good play. Anniversary is good too, but it has some sections for me that my non-teenage hands can’t move fast enough to maneuver. Spinning blades on walls and Centaurs are killing me from finishing that one, and I’ve been able to finish every TR game ‘cept that one.Why have we gotten nine TRs so far? Because we love to play the darn thing over and over again. J.

I am the occational gamer. So occational, that this game took me several weeks to complete, but it was a lot of fun. I tried to work my way up after finishing the very first TR. But wasn’t happy with the graphics on 2 and 3. After very good reviews I bought Legend. The graphics were soooo much better. I really liked the help the game offered, like when to push certain buttons…to grapple or when Laura was about to fall and to get a better grip. I thought this game was a bit easier to play, the fighting was action filled, but enjoyable, not too tough. it really sucks when you die a 100 times befor completing a section, which brings me to the check points, another one of my favorites. There are several check points in each level. if you reach a check point and die, you can start from the last check point. This is by far my favorite TR game. I really enjoyed it from the beginning to the end, it did seem a bit short though.

Didn’t see this coming. I’ve never had a PS2 Tomb Raider game before, this is amazing! If you’re a fan of Uncharted you gotta play this game! Great gameplay, puzzles, graphics, and story for a PS2 game, not to mention the unrealistic but yet super fun shoot’em up parts. The combat is so unique, it’s like a mix of Sly Cooper combat moves and Ratchet and Clank gun fights, yet put into a "real life" game setting. The only thing I could talk down about this game is how they obviously put Lora in the most showing clothing they possibly could, but I feel like that’s always been a conflict with Tomb Raider games. If you’re suffering from new PS2 game withdraw like I was, get this game!

My 10 year old loves playing this game. I think (from what I’ve watched, not played) that they did a god job with the game. Certainly better then the old original ones (that I have played).
