health gauges for limbs. the true sign of bad ass bosses.

  2. Myrna Lofthus

I purchased this game for my grandsons. They give it a thumb’s up for interest and excitement. They said they would recommend it to their peers.

Still haven’t played a lot, but I can tell it’s a pretty good game! It’s like monster hunter but the moves are more flashy. In comparison Toukiden is to Monster Hunter, this is like Dragon’s dogma is to Dark souls. Both good, but the fighting style is a little different.

great game and action pack, i don’t think there is a level setting; however you don’t need it. you can farm and level up your favorite weapons and armor through battling and upgrading, however there really isn’t much variety to choose for the armor. LITTLE NOTE: this game has little to no roaming, basically you can’t travel. has dungeon like mission (without the dungeon part) and you only stay in the same town for you mission, if you’re into that kinda stuff. i hope i didn’t spoiled anythingoh and the weapon choices are giant long sword (samurai sword), giant spear, giant fist gloves, giant bow, dual dagger, and a chain-linked-scythe. each has their own unique fighting styles and strategic way to play AND A BIG PLUS if you don’t like the weapon you choose at the start of the game you can change it anytime you want.

This is a great beat em up game, if you are familiar with tecmo koei games, you know just how to play already! It ressembles a lot the monster hunter series, you are in a village, going outside accepting main missions and side quests, farming parts and skins for your next weapon or piece of armor. Its a bit repetitive, but if you can go thru a dynasty warriors game and didnt mind, well this game is for you!

  6. Joseph Strouhal

Can’t really fault this game to be honest. Personally, I love Hack/Slash games like this and I definitely prefer ‘Slaying’ monsters (sorry, Oni) to hunting them, as the general trend seems to be. Whilst I love the Japanese lore and beliefs of Shinto the game seamlessly puts into game-play, I must warn anyone new to the game that the lore is there, there’s heaps of it and understanding it all and utilising it effectively can be quite cumbersome for individuals. But, I love every aspect of this game.

Another game that is similar to Monster HunterSO good.Runs really well, very entertaining, and the online runs well too.So far I’ve logged about 40 hours, and it’s still a fun game.Hoping for add-ons in the future.

  8. Ramiro Garcia Jr.

Love this game, the best game for PS VITA!!!

A lot of people compare this game to Monster Hunter which is accurate. If you like that then you will like this. There’s a few different weapons compared to MH. But honestly, if you took out the wyverns of MH, the moon-speak of MH, gave the game demons based on Japanese folklore and everyone spoke Japanese, then Toukiden is exactly what you would have. I feel that this game is only scoring high here due to the fact that it’s a MH clone and the Vita is in desperate need of games, even if it is a clone.
