Back during the PS2 era, when there were GTA clones popping up all over the place, True Crime focused on a different aspect – playing as a cop tackling criminals. True Crime NYC sees you playing as a New York detective who is out to take down various crimes in the city. Although the graphics for the time were great, they may look dated by now, but the gameplay and the in-game features such as being able to buy different weapons, learn new fighting styles, and buy cars makes the game a must-have for PS2 owners.

Players wield the ultimate power as one of NYC’s finest in True Crime: New York City (Activision; PS2). Gamers assume the role of Marcus Reid, a former criminal turned cop. True Crime: NYC is a vast improvement over its predecessor, True Crime: Streets of LA. This latest version is more in depth, giving gamers the chance to explore an expertly recreated Manhattan island while fighting crime in your own morally ambiguous way.True Crime: NYC takes you on a unique journey through the eyes of an NYPD cop with criminal ties and background. As Marcus players bust criminals, take down gangs, extort, interrogate, search and seize and dispense justice, either by the book or by indulging in the temptations of the job. However, your choices do affect the city, if crime goes unchecked, the crime rate will soar and the streets will fill with trash, potholes and unsavory characters.Gameplay this time around is much better; developers have improved most aspects of the game from hand-to-hand combat to gunplay and driving. Environmental interaction allows players to access almost everything in the game that can assist, from listing stovetops to locking suspects in freezers. And you get to do it all with an all-star cast that includes the voice talents of Laurence Fishburne (“Cornbread!”) and the original Frank White, Christopher Walken. Plus, with more than 80 songs, the in game soundtrack is off the hook, featuring music from DMX, Redman and Jay-Z (to name a few). If you are familiar with th.

First off, the game that I got delivered on time. It was in perfect condition and it was easily opening but the graphic and the gameplay were like a 3 out of a 5 because I had difficulties controling the main character. But overall, I enjoyed the game. Sorry about my review.

At the time of this review I am currently the 74th person to review the game and the game is 10 years old.So as you can see I’m a little late on reviewing it, some people would probably say it’s to late to review something this old but hopefully I’ll be able to help someone decide weather or not to buy the game (assuming you have a working ps2) so on to the review. The moment I popped this game in I fell in love with it it was 2006 or 2007 I can’t remember which what I do remember was the incredible fun I had with it.It had a vibe to it, you know what I mean right?Have you ever played a game or watched a movie where it’s so retro, so different from the status quo that it completely changes the way you look at that medium? That’s what this game was for me, that’s not to say that it was revolutionary or ground breaking or even a great game for that matter. It’s not any of the above but it sure is entertaining, it’s got many weaknesses but most were some of it greatest strengths in my opinion.Let’s start with the glitches, I’ve found more glitches in this game than any other I’ve ever played and I’ve played a lot of games, I’m not exaggerating when I say that if you look hard enough than you may be able to find hundreds of glitches!I probably have found that many, eventually they became like finding easter eggs (hidden content)it was fun finding all these glitches, falling through the earth glitches, invisibility glitches, invulnerabilty glitches, revival glitches, wired electrici.

I received the game in a timely manner for my 19-year-old son, who really enjoys it. The ratings are bases on his opinion. He’s extremely happy and we will purchase from your company again.
