And by Aspyr for Mac OS X in March 2005. A mobile phone adaptation was release in November 2004. The game tells the story of Nicholas Kang, an uncompromising Los Angeles police officer who is recruit into the Elite Operations Division in order to investigate a series of bombings in Chinatown. As he delves further into the case, he discovers it may be connected to the disappearance of his police-officer father twenty years previously. However, the game features a 240-square-mile (622 km2) re-creation of a large part of Los Angeles, including most of Beverly Hills and Santa Monica, with most street names, landmarks and highways reproduced accurately.
Streets of LA receive generally mix-to-positive reviews. Many critics praise the ambitious nature of the game, its setting. And the differentiation between itself and Grand Theft Auto III. Also the branching storyline and the overall ‘feel’. Common criticisms. However, were graphical and technical problems, an unlikable protagonist, and poorly implement gameplay. But the game was a commercial success, selling over three million units worldwide across all platforms. And the True Crime franchise continue in 2005, with the release of True Crime: New York City.

Friends and family that don’t want to play should enjoy watching you play. I’ve had several people say it’s like watching a police drama on TV, except better. The Gamecube version is a bit more censored than any other version, but there’s still more than enough cursing (in a couple of languages) to go around. This is a game that I’ve beaten over a dozen times, and I still enjoy playing it.

As a faithful and loyal Nintendo fan, I have waited many years for such a game. For the past couple of months there hasn’t been a day that this game did not cross my mind.. I just know that when i have it I will spend countless hours on it.This will be a true masterpiece, GTA started it all, but this will be crowned the new king.. Amazing voice talent was cast for this.. True gunplay, fighting and driving.. an authentic replica of l.a.. this will be a great one..

I cannot believe the good reviews that people have put on here!!!Bad Bad Bad Bad.First of all, it’s all all platforms, the only one I have played is on the gamecube, I hope it’s better on the other platforms. This game feels like it was rushed together at the last minute to get the Xmas orders. It tries to be all in one game, fighting, driving, shooting but doesn’t master any.Driving is unresponsive, unrealistic, boringFighting is slow, limited moves and boringShooting, useless guns, limted control and accuracy and boringTotal game can be played in 3hrs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!One reviewer said to rent before you buy, I couldn’t agree more. There are much better games out there like Max Payne, Grand Theft Auto etc etc etcThe code has bugs, bad bugs. Bugs that are more annoying than those carrying the west nile virus! When you go (drive or walk) through trees, you see extremely basic block tree’s and you lose sight of the character.Another annoying bug is that certain levels it doesn’t recognize you have taken control of another car, and at one level you need a fast car to get through. You have limited movement to dodge bullets, limited moves to fight. After playing the game you will be left with a very cheap bitter aftertaste in your mouth.Plain and simple, 50 bucks is not worth it for this game.If you truly want it, wait until it drops in price.
