Dears,This game is not bad at all. I have played both the campaign and online multiplayer modes and both are nice. Yes this may not be as nice as Gears of War or Call of Duty 4, but it is just fun to play in both modes. The story is interesting and makes you that you want to finish it, and the online gives you a great challenging players and game types.

This game is great and the best in the series. Good graphics, story and voice overs are awesome.Controls might seem a bit sluggish to so called gamers that complain and gripe about no auto aim. It really isn’t that hard to aim and control. It’s not Cod4 (best FPS controls ever)but it’s not that difficult to shoot and aim. One of the best action adventure games I played in awhile. This game is challenging and I’m playing it on normal. Been awhile since a good game came out that’s challenging.(Ninja Gaiden anyone)? I’m actually having more fun in the story mode on Turok then I did in Cod4. My only problem is the sound effects from the weapons and online play. Seems the servers are having problems at the moment. Other then that this is a great game and worth the money. If your having second thoughts on Turok rent it first. I think Turok is going to be the most underated game this year. Love it or Hate Turok is back.

Turok is sort of a space-marines-meets-Jurassic-Park story. In a futuristic world with high end weapons and armor, you’re pitted against the raw muscle and razor-sharp teeth of meat-eating dinosaurs.Really, the game is all about fun. It has nice graphics, but not nearly as stellar as other games out there. The scenery of black mountains and drifting clouds are pretty, but could be better. The character animations are all right, but sometimes clunky and clippy. The voices are all right, but sometimes get flat or cliched. When it comes down to it, this is all about pitting yourself against dinosaurs with the best weapons you could imagine from various sci-fi shows. It’s you against bit, sharp-toothed monsters of gigantic proportions. They are faster than you, stronger than you, there are lots of them out there. Can you hold your own against them? The answer hopefully is yes. There are multiple levels of gameplay here, so you can start with the easier one if you haven’t played these games before, or just dive into the killer-hard level if you enjoy a challenge. You’ll be sneaking around, taking shelter behind jungle plants, plotting out the best place to lay your ambush.Yes, there’s a plotline of sort, with crosses and double-crosses. You get your hands on various weapons. Ironically, we tended to stick just with the knife, for silent, deadly kills. The other favorite weapon was the bow with a variety of arrow types. The game is a good length and whether you enjoy it or not probably depends on whether the idea of blasting away at dinosaurs for hours is a fun thing to do. We did enjoy playing our way through it, but it was not one of the games that we kept on the active shelf to revisit for months afterwards. If you’re not a dinosaur / monster-slaying fan, it might be best to rent this one for a weekend and see how it appeals to you. That way you could get the dinosaur mashing out of your system if it’s not your cup of tea – or get yourself completely hooked and decide to get one of your very own.

This game is pathetic. The designers programmed it to force you to replay battle sequences multiple times, regardless if you kicked butt! Case in point, one battle scenario I killed all the enemies and dinosaurs, but when I killed the last enemy (who was on his knees trying to stand and not even shooting at me) I died and had to start the level over. There was nobody around to shoot me!!!! The game goes on and on like this. I’d like to wring the programmers necks! They purposely designed the game to make you repeat battles over and over again to force you to look at their not so pretty graphics, or to feel like you accomplished something. How lame is that??? Oh, and let’s not forget the lame aiming controls…that seem to wander on their own!!! If you ever play this game, look at the size of the guys holding these puny weapons. Do they look like guys that don’t have the arm strength to hold a gun steady????? Geeez! Oh, and you cannot save at anypoint in the game…..just like mentioned above….you have to start the entire level over again!! Anybody that finished this game should be given sainthood for patience and determination…no matter how many hours of their life they wasted (like so many hours I wasted just to get through this horribly designed game…Hey, got that fork ready??). What happened to the old Turok from the Nintendo 64 days…where a true native american warrior ruled so competently????This game blows!! Ok, put the fork right here…..

i have read so many reviews of people raggin on this game. complaining about this and saying that inst good enough and blah blah blah. well dont listen to those… this game exceeded ALL expectations!!! its super fun and while it is challenging it is definitely NOT “too hard” as I’ve read many people say… i would definitely suggest buying this if you’re considering it

I’ll tell you what partners, this is the coolest game I have ever played. The characters, the dinos, the jungle planet, all of it just awsome. From the very beginning with “Aliens” type scenary to the Silent kills with that super sweet knife, this game has it all. Trust me folks you will love this game, just give it a shot, and forget about all other FPS games, for this game stands alone friends. I only hope they make a sequel, and some cool action figures to go with it.Thanks for the fantastic game Propoganda, Turok lives again, and better then ever

This game rivals Halo in action, graphics, and a lot else. The dinos look wicked and just plain savage. The enemy soilders put up a good fight( except when getting mauled by dinos). The blood and gore is realistic and when you shot at the giant bugs all this green stuff leaks out. I loved the way the T rex looks with all its wounds and gore covered, jagged teeth. Overall an awsome game!

I’ve got lots of mixed feelings for this game. I’ll just make it nice and simple with the Pros and Cons.Pros-The graphics are done pretty well and I like the atmosphere of it. You actually feel like you might be in a jungle, and not just a scattering of trees, ledges, and bushes. The story could use some work, but it all ends well and doesn’t leave much to the imagination (hate those loose-ends that seem to be popping up more often in newer games). The situations are inventive, most of them leave you with lots of options for attack. There’s a wide-variety dinosaurs you face as well. The instant-kill knife moves are fun. This game also incorporates stealth and not just sneaking and hoping the enemy doesn’t see you from half a mile away and magically notifying EVERYTHING to your exact location at all times. There’s no auto-aim, which is good, because you can’t get your reticle hung on a distant enemy when you’re attempting to kill something that’s jumping at your face. The TEK Bow and Arrows. Nuff said there. There’s also a FLAMETHROWER!! (major plus to me).Now for the Cons-Okay, I have never been so annoyed in my gaming experience as has happened in Turok. I’ve been playing games for quite a while (got my first Playstation when I was seven and had a NES before that), and some of my worst experiences have happened with this. For instance, the T-Rex and Dilophosaurus’s ability to instantly teleport you into their mouthes. The last fight you have with the T-Rex was horrible for me. I recall being almost half way across the area from her and then I turned my head for a second and looked back. I had already died and it was at the loading screen. Another issue is that the AI can be overly intelligent at times. The enemy AI, that is. Your allies are just bullet-sponges and are pretty bad at that. They never take cover. Whereas the enemy AI can pull tactical maneuvers worthy of Napolean’s ability. They know exactly where and how to flank you. Then you have the problem of being attacked by dinosaurs and CONSTANTLY being knocked down. Mix that with the enemy soldiers shooting at you and you’re probably a goner. Onto the weapons. I was hoping we’d have the cerebral bore and the rocket launcher that shot nukes from the older Turoks. The weapons were very creative and fun to use. Now we have the SMG, a shotgun, your standard 9mm pistol, an RPG, mini-gun, pulse rifle, and a little gun that shoots out “devastating” mines. The most creative thing is the flamethrower and TEK arrows (which were in previous games). That being said, I think the game is good, but it has MUCH room for improvement.
