If you are a fan of sjmaas A Court of Thorns and Roses series, you will love these books. Can’t wait for the next book and can’t wait for more Stolas!!!

4.5/5I received a free audiobook copy from the author in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own!God I freaking love this series so much. Someone give me the next book STAT!! Haven, Bell and their friends have arrived back in Penryth but at what cost? Bell does not have any magic and with Haven’s help must continually fool the court into thinking he does. When an emissary from Solissia comes to recruit Bell into a magical competition, everything is put on the line. Solis’s mother’s court is bloodthirsty and will test not only Bell and Haven’s survival abilities but also their friendship.I live for magical competitions and this book was no different. I loved seeing Haven come up with spontaneous strategies on how both she and Bell could pass each trial. Plus we got more of Stolas and Haven. AGH I WOULD DIE FOR THESE TWO. I just freaking love them so much. I loved seeing Haven bond more with Surai and how their sisterhood became even closer.Archeron really bothered me in this book. He’s changing so much and letting his anger take control, which makes me sad. I also absolutely hate that he made Haven feel like she had to bind her dark magic to make her feel worthy of his attention. Like BLEH. Solid nope from me on that front.Bell also really grew in this. He still has some guilt and grief to unpack from his trials in the first two books, but he is slowly healing everyday and becoming an amazing soon to be King. He also had a flirtation going on with a certain Soli.

I am definitely a fan of Audrey. I have read many of her books and like her drama/romance/angsty filled books! I gobble them up. Pretty early on I felt this book/author was similar to Sarah J. Maas and I just devour Maas’s books. This book is a pretty strong resemblance (almost mirroring) A Court of Thorns and Roses. With that being said…. I love ACOTAR and I really enjoyed this book as well. I am fully team Stolas/Rhysand. I did find that Archeron put such a bad taste in my mouth this book and the way Audrey did it was executed well I thought. I don’t mind at all how Archeron turns out as I think it makes this book all the more interesting. Haven finally seems to grow a bit in this book & I really think her relationship with Surai is so touching. I would actually love to see more of Nasira! She is such an interesting character! Now for the negative:I am really hoping that the next book in the series does follow with the same ACOTAR path. If Archeron somehow redeems himself then I will be irritated he turns into a mirror Tamlin character. If Haven mysteriously gains 2 sisters who turn out to be love interests for Stolas Twin fighters, I am going to be more irritated. And if there is some artsy, panty-melting, epic love making scene in the next book, I will be severally disappointed. Audrey is a great author and can make this her own so I hope she stays away from making this too closely resemble ACOTAR.

I can’t get over how masterful the storytelling of this series has been leading up to this truly epic third installment of the series! I laughed, I groaned, I gasped in shock, shouted, and yes, cursed. This series keeps delivering above and beyond what I’ve been expecting, and I’m simply blown away by the beauty of every betrayal, heartache, and revelation that cumulated to the ending of the best book of the series so far. All I can say is–if you weren’t a fan of Stolas before, this book may change your mind. Bring on book 4 because I need a cure for this massive book hangover! Highly recommend this series!

Holy cannoli that was amazing!!! I finished this book 3 days ago and I’m still reeling! My review- the book is amazing and everyone who likes good books should read it.Truly though, I had wondered where on earth Audrey would take this story after the second book ended. You won’t believe where she does. Just go ahead and stop reading reviews and read the book

I thought the first two books in the series were phenomenal, but I finished this third one last night and was blown away. The intricacies with which Audrey Grey writes make everything come to life and it takes you into a world where the impossible becomes possible. There were twists in this story I absolutely did not see coming and could never have predicted, characters and storylines that changed in ways that stole my breath. And that, my friends, is the difference between a good storyteller and a great one. If you’re looking for a great series, this one had an impact on me I will not soon forget.

A wild ride that will steal your free time. Each book pulls me in more than the last. I loved it!

Don’t start with this book, as it’s third in the series, but each book worth your while. Haven has been a slave, a servant, defender of Prince Bell, who always seem to need a rescue like the little brother in any story. And she is caught in the middle between a magical slave to the “good guys” who has emmense power, should he ever get free, and a magical slave to the “bad guys” … it’s light versus dark … Yes there is romance, but that is more Haven’s pull between the characters and her general outlook of standing with those who are oppressed. But she’s not who she appears either … So, start with book one and enjoy. Lots of plot twists that keep you coming back.

Audrey Grey has the ability to bring you into her stories and vividly picture the world she created. All her characters are unique and hold vibrant stories of their own which makes her books hard to put down! Thank you for the adventures! I can’t wait to read more!!!
