This game is great mindless fun. The later levels in the single player can be frustrating because of the need to execute to regain health. MP feels like the standard fare of shooters but the Warhammer 40k style of combat makes this game very fun online. The free Exterminatus DLC that is basically survival mode ensures that you’ll keep having fun.

Who doesn’t love this game who has read the books!?

This game is really fun. It has the Warhammer 40K setting, which is really cool, and it mixes close range combat with long range combat really well. I had a great time playing this game.
A basic name –
I love warhammer 40k games but this one was different for me because I never played 3rd person warhammer 40k. It is a good game but the campaign is really short and if you are not a multiplayer person you would be done before you enjoy it fully

Great game. Loved everything about it: the art, the controls, the cut-scenes. This was my introduction to Warhammer (40k). Since then I have read some of the many books. I could only beat the game on ‘easy’. Even on ‘normal’, I am overwhelmed by the hordes of enemies. I especially liked using the manual weapons. They are a great complement to the ranged weapons. Looking forward to the next installment.

Perfect video game for ‘Hammer heads, not so much anybody else. I’m a huuuuge WH40K guy, so this game is perfect for me. THQ has absolutely nailed down the look of what an FPS set in the 40K universe should look like. Many times I found myself just wandering around looking at the incredible detail that went into the game setting, enjoying the perfect realization of an Imperial Forgeworld. I loved finally being able to see and hear what I always pictured in my head as the sound of a chainsword ripping an alien in half, the game mechanics of stomping your enemies via jump jetpak are almost perfectly realized. But take all that away, remove all reference to the 40K Universe and what you have is a very straight forward FPS that borrows heavily from other established franchises and doesn’t take many risks. I can totally understand the “meh” reactions from non-fans of the 40K Universe. If you aren’t already invested in the setting, the game really doesn’t bring much to the table. Don’t get me wrong, I hope and pray for sequel (although THQ doesn’t seem interested in one), but would I recommend this game to those uninitiated with 40K? Unfortunately no.

What an enjoyable game! I don’t play that much but wanted a reasonable priced game I can enjoy. After a few duds I ran across this gem. Just old fashioned hack and slash game that at times can be very challenging. One aspect of this game I found intriguing is the voice acting. I was very impressed with the attention to detail and the voice acting makes the game environment really enjoyable. Highly recommend!
