The game is great! If you’ve played the table top version of 40K, this is just like t. It’s exciting and tough, but not so hard that you can’t enjoy it. I love the game!

If you’ve ever played an RTS or Tabletop Warhammer Game and wondered what it would be like to stand and fight on those front lines as an elite character, here is your answer.Concept: 9/10Blends the melee elements of God of War with the shooting elements of Gears of War in the Warhammer 40,000 setting. You are an Ultra-Marine, an elite commando of the Empire and you must defend your compatriots against charging hordes of blood lusted Orcs and other foul creatures.Story: 9/10You lead a squad of Ultra Marines into battle on a planet overrun by Orcs. You must accomplish various mission objectives to give the Empire a fighting chance. As the story unfolds, there seems to be something even more sinister behind the onslaught. The Empire in Warhammer 40k is a lot like the Roman Legions of the Holy Roman Empire in the 1500’s – 1600’s, but the Space Marines are equipped with Power Axes and Bolt Throwers, rather than swords and shields. This game does a great job at bringing the characters and warring armies to life.Gameplay: 7.5/10The Story is broken up into 5 Chapters and these Chapters are broken up into Missions. The Missions involve taking ground, defending ground, killing a boss, or moving through hostile territory. You are armored and you have a recharging shield and a health bar like the Halo games. Your Shields replenish after time, but you must regain health by performing a “Brutal Kill” in combat. You are armed with a melee weapon: Knife, Chainsword, Power Axe, and Two-Ha.

I had high hopes for this game a full year before its release. That’s usually detrimental, as a game (or movie) might find itself being good, but must be fantastic to live up to the hype one can create in anticipation. This game was one of those few instances where my giddy anticipation and high hopes were met with appreciation and that rare “wow factor.” This game is a work of art. As one must do, when you compare it to Call of Duty, it stacks up quite nicely. See, the Call of Duty games feel very refined, and make a $billion, because they put a TON of money and personnel into the production. But when you play Space Marine, you not only feel that the game was the combined work of many talented staff, but that it was a work of passion and of art. This game puts you smack-dab into another universe, and you feel it throughout the entire game. I have been switching between the single player campaign and the multiplayer for 2 weeks now, and still haven’t finished the single player campaign. There are people calling it short, but I guarantee you those people didn’t enjoy the entirety of the game. You want to experience every nook and cranny of this universe, and that requires wandering, exploring, and killing. If you rush thru things, what, seriously, is the point? That’s like skateboarding thru a museum at haste. All told, this game is a work of art, a masterpiece, and a must own. I LOVE the multiplayer. Love it. Unlike COD, where 90% of all users are using the FAMA.

I really liked the plot of the game, I enjoyed the war hammer games for the computer and being able to control a space marine was a great experience.

This game is quite interesting. From the game play to the graphics it was all around an alright game. Now, the game had to many cut scenes. Every time you’d start having fun killing bad guys it would go to a movie. But, in the games defense. It is a great game. For 20$ its a steal. Buy this game.

Let me start by saying that this is a decent game. It looks pretty good, the voice acting is good, the controls are fluid and the story is good. However, it feels so much like a Gears of War clone, but of lesser quality. From the oversized armor to the controls to the varying degrees of enemy type, it’s all very similar to GOW. However, the enemies are slightly less cool, the story is less compelling, and the weapons are almost as awesome. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a pretty good game. It’s just so similar to GOW that it almost forces one to compare the two, which makes Space Marine look worse than it really is. If you liked GOW, you’ll probably like this game, but to a lesser degree. Is it worth purchasing? At about a $20 price point, I say yes.

I loved the story, the actions, the environments, and basically everything about this game. I had tons of fun playing this and Im so glad I bought it, besides Bioshock or Fallout 3 this is probably the best game I’ve played.

Fun game! Just don’t expect a huge amount of depth. You are a space marine and it is your job to purge the xenos. That is pretty much it. However, it is a fun and messy purge! You get melee and ranged attacks, both of which you will find upgrades for and various weapons across the campaign. It is a third person action/shooter with , ahem , NO COVER SYSTEM. Pure hack’n’slash. Multiplayer is a fun affair though from what I have seen nothing that stands out. Not to say it is bad by any means, it is quite fun. Like a lot of other games, you level up, earn unlocks and kit progression. One neat thing is that you also unlock armor variants so you can customize you Space Marine or Chaos Marine.Last but not least this game is pretty darn good looking with good graphics and well done likeness to the WH40K lore.Pros:Looks/feels like 40KPresentationFun melee and weaponsMessy!Jumpacks!Cons:Combat is none to deepmultiplayer while good, is nothing you haven’t seen beforeNo split screen co op

    Great Game

  10. Night Lord 40K

I have never played the warhammer table top games or their RTS computer games but, I have read literally hundreds of warhammer books and I absolutely love the warhammer 40k world. I have been wanting a good 40k game for my xbox and this game absolutely gave me what I have been waiting for. This game isnt just for all of the warhammer fans out there , anyone can pick this game up and have a blast with it. Gameplay: this game is fairly lengthy and puts you up against a wide variety of enemies. your enemies and environment are well rendered and look absolutely stunning. this game is a mix of shooter and hack and slash. in order to beat this game you will have to use both shooter and melee mechanics. this game was made for you to get up close and personal with the enemy. this is unlike any other shooter you have played. you dont duck behind cover and take pop shots at the enemy when they stick their head out of cover, you wade right into the middle of them and start the slaughter with a mix of shooting and hack and slash melee. Weapons: (Guns) Bolter , Storm Bolter , Bolt pistol, Heavy Bolter , Stalker pattern Bolter , Melta gun, Vengeance Launchere, Plasma gun , Plasma pistol , plasma Cannon , and lascannon Grenade) the frag grenade is the only type but it is all you will need. melee) Chain sword, Power axe , Thunder Hammer , and power sword. As you can see you have a wide range of weapons to choose from , my personal favorite combo is the Thunder Hammer and Bolter. Enemies Li.
