As an owner of PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii, I was torn what next gen console to purchase for our family of 4 with young kids. The Xbox 360 was a poor family experience, the UI seemed cluttered with advertizing and the kinetic had a horrible time seeing our 4 year old and the controllers were creaking and felt cheap after moderate use.The PS3 was good for my gaming needs moderate fun for the kids, a fantastic media center, but the move to the PS4 felt like I had to start over again, new controllers, new games. Such a big expense and starting off with 0 titles, having to buy a game to get going. After much debate I decided on the Wii U for our next family console. One of the main selling points was the content. Many people are complaining that the Wii U has such a small title library, although true, when considering the 100% backwards compatibility with all the Wii titles (we had quite a few already) the total Wii U library is significantly bigger than it seems.Such a fantastic experience so far, being able to Migrate all of our Wii purchases and saves to the Wii U. After a bit of updating and the migration process(not required) our Wii U had plenty of games to play the day we opened it. The Wii games are sharp and run fast, our old Wiimotes work great, it feels like a true upgrade without the punishment of having to start over.As for the Wii U content, our only game so far has been Disney infinity. The game pad truly shines when in toybox mode, having your inventory on the game pad while building on the TV is a fun experience. Another huge + is the ability to turn the console on and run games on the game pad without the TV (Wii U games only), being able to let the kids play Disney infinity on the game pad wile I can watch football was darn cool. When the game ended I switched the TV to the Wii U and the kids could keep going on the big screen.Although we have only had the Wii U for a weekend, I has been an extremely enjoyable experience so far, and I am looking forward to u.

There were some scratches that were not stated in the description but other than that it was all good and runs very well, also didn’t get my game that was supposed to come with it, but he gave me a refund on it so overall very good

The Wii U is great. I don’t consider it a nextgen console but it is nice to finally see Nintendo games in HD.The inclusion of the ability to play any wii and gamecube games along with all downloaded games is amazing. Also being able to use all current controllers is great.Once the "good games" come out this system will be a must have.
