I really got tons of fun to play with family or friends. Well done Nintendo, The Gamepad is the best control ever made!

Product came and was really nice! The gamepad came with a nerf case and the gamepad and Wii U look amazing. Barely any scratch marks on the Gamepad. It came with everything but a sensor bar which is understandable seeing as the Wii U primarily uses the gamepad anyway. Either way amazing purchase.

My Wii stopped reading CDs after about 7 years, and Monster Hunter Tri was taking their servers offline. So instead of repairing, I got the Wii U + Monster Hunter Ultimate (sold separately). I was kinda skeptical, but playing with NintendoLand (comes with) was fun since you often look around on screen by moving around the controller itself at a 1:1 ratio (you move the controller over your head, the screen looks over your head). The internet browser is much improved, and a Google maps app (free) is fun for "walking" in many tourist places around the world (again can move controller to look). There is one factor I really miss from the Wii, the e-mail service. I know the regular Wii’s e-mails are limited by what links you can visit, you can’t send pictures to computer e-mails, and a somewhat small word limit. But still, I loved how the Wii glowed whenever you got an e-mail and never got spam (unless you want info from Wii apps). The Wii U is definitely a family console (though it’s picking up more M-rated/aggressive content). It’s has a pretty good social networking, with grouped posting for different games/Nintendo events. It’s awesome for that if one person want’s to play, another wants to use the TV, they both can using the screen in the controller (except for some apps/games, including Hulu and YouTube).

When the Wii U was released at the end of 2012, people complained that its interface was very, very slow and that there where not enough games for the system.I just picked up my system, June 2013, and that was after Nintendo had released a patch to speed up its interface. I am happy to say that I have no complaints with regard to the time it takes to boot up and switch between applications. One thing to note is that once you get the Wii U – set it up, and connect to the internet via WiFi, there is BIG DAY ONE UPDATE that needs to be installed … expect to wait over an hour before this update is complete.THE HARDWAREI got the Deluxe Model which is Black, has 32 GB internal memory, and comes with the game Nintendo Land, a charging dock for the Wii U Game Pad, and a cradle for the Wii U Game Pad as well. It cost $350.00, The basic set, which is white, costs $300.00 and does not come with a game or the cradle or charging dock for the Wii U Game Pad and it only has has 8 GB internal memory. Both models come with an HDMI cord – this is a first for a Nintendo System – HD gaming. Both models have 4 USB ports and an SD card slot. Both models can use a USB external hard drive which has a plug (its own power source). The Wii U is backwards compatible with the Wii … any game you purchased on the Wii will work on the Wii U, retail or digital (you can transfer all of you content from the Wii to the Wii U and any games that are not currently on your Wii but you purchased digitally, can be downloaded to the Wii U. All of the controllers for the Wii are compatible with the Wii U.The Game PadThe game pad has a nice large touch screen on it, a stylus, dual analog sticks, a set of left and right shoulder buttons (Top L / R and lower Rz / Lz) , a D pad, a tv button (the pad can be used as remote control for you TV), a power button and a,b,x, and y buttons, in addition to headphone jack, a camera (facing you), a microphone, two speakers, an accessory jack, and a charging jack.

This system is great! The system itself is very well made. It feels sturdy and its very compact taking up very little room in your home entertainment center or dorm room dresser top.The gamepad comes as the only packed in controller. It’s not bad, just a shame as the Wii U pro controller might be the best controller for a console yet. It also servers as a second screen and media control center. If you take the plunge and get a external hard drive you can a mass a collection of digital games that you can easy navigate via the gamepad. Some games like Hyrule Warriors make really interesting use of the gamepad, as is serves as a second screen so in co-op can have totally separate views.Speaking of controls this system is control crazy! Like the gamecube controller? Like the Wii-mote? The old style pro controller? The new one? 3rd party? Bring them all! It up to you and how you want to control your game.Knowing how the Wii U stacks up power wise to the Xbox One and PS4 makes it just that much more impressive the graphical power it’s able to display in games like Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros and so on. It does take a performance hit in some game’s multiplayer modes. However Nintendo always takes a hit to graphics over performance, so they might down scale a little but run smooth. Thankfully Smash does not take this hit and looks great and runs great on 2 player or 8 player. The wifi features Nintendo picky security and is really the only major flaw of the system. Just know you’ll need to pick up a USB wired network connector or look up a router that will work with Nintendo hardware.Once you are online it is awesome! You can chat with your friends via the game pad or headset but anyone you aren’t friends with live in blissful silence. So great being able to just play a game without the trash talk. You can make your Mii say "Not fair" and that’s about as negative as it gets. I’m shocked at how much online play I get in considering h.
