NINTENDO WII U – FEATURES
Once again, Nintendo brought a new way to play with the Wii U, with its innovative GamePad. Its integrated touchscreen adds a new layer of immersion, as apart from remote play, it will also be displaying maps and inventories in your favorite games.
STRONG SPECIFICATIONS
Running on strong, custom-made hardware containing a CPU running at 1.24 GHz, a GPU clocked at 550 MHz and 2GB of RAM, the Wii U is the first Nintendo console to support HD graphics. The system features low-latency in transmitting data to the gamepad thanks to a special type of Wi-Fi it uses to connect to the device.
OFF-TV PLAY
Using the Wii U controller’s built-in screen, you can now play video games without using the TV, at a distance of up to 10 meters! As long as you have the Wii U on, you can pretty much play off-tv in any room of your house.
NINTENDO WII U – THE GAMES
With over 700 games in its library, full backwards compatibility with Wii games and virtual consoles for the NES, SNES, GBA, N64 and DS, the Wii U will provide you with countless hours of entertainment, be it through its main titles, or by taking you back to retro gaming.
THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: THE WIND WAKER
Part of the beloved Legend of Zelda series, The Wind Walker is set on a group of islands in a vast sea. The player controls series protagonist Link as he attempts to save his sister from the sorcerer Ganon and becomes embroiled in a struggle for the Triforce, a sacred wish-granting relic. Aided by allies including pirate captain Tetra – an incarnation of Princess Zelda – and a talking boat named the King of Red Lions, Link sails the ocean, explores islands, and traverses dungeons to acquire the power necessary to defeat Ganon.
NINTENDOLAND
This party title features twelve minigames, each based on an existing Nintendo franchise that will take full advantage of the Wii U’s innovative controller. The game takes place in an amusement park, with attractions representing its minigames, which vary from solo to team and even competitive experiences, for countless hours of fun. You can even play using Wii Remotes and Nunchuks!
SUPER SMASH BROS
Featuring 58 playable characters including 17 newcomers from beloved Nintendo franchises, this crossover fighting title will have you and your friends battling it out to see which Nintendo character is the ultimate fighting machine! The gameplay is now enhanced by the 1080p resolution, new arenas and even three new exclusive game modes: Smash Tour, Special Orders, and Event Mode.
NEW SUPER MARIO BROS U
Building on the elements of the previous titles in this series and on the classic Super Mario Bros experience, this 2.5D platformer will once again take you on a quest to save Princess Peach from Bowser’s evil claws. You can even play with up to 4 of your friends, with the GamePad allowing you to manipulate the environment!
NEW SUPER LUIGI U
If Luigi is your favorite of the two plumbers, then this game is for you! With him placed as the star of the game, the levels are similar to those of New Super Mario Bros, but they have been made slightly shorter and far more challenging.
SUPER MARIO 3D WORLD
This sequel to Super Mario 3D Land features a mix of mechanics from both the 3D and 2D iterations of Mario, allowing you to both free-roam through the level, while at the same time retaining the time-limit and flagpole of the older titles. You and your friends can choose from a list of characters including Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad, and the unlockable Rosalina, each with their own feel and abilities.
MARIO KART 8
Mario 8 brings the same fast-paced battle racing you expect from the series. It features 32 playable characters, out of which 16 are unlockable, and 48 different courses, of which 16 are remodels of your favorite ones from previous games. This model was $350 in stores (at the time of purchase) and with a gift card i got it for $200. That is a fantastic $150 off for Nintendo’s newest Console. Me being a Big N fan i absolutely adore my Wii U. It has more games than the Ps4 and XO, also supports backwards compatibility and is just a great experience. Has great games coming out in the future to add to the great ones out now.

i didnt see my friend for months after sending him this for his birthday… i guess thats a good thing and means he likes it, but expect a reclusive side effect for whoever you buy this for.gotta admit though, when he did finally return to our world, playing smash brothers on it was pretty fun.

I owned a PS3 since 2008 and it was great but now I needed something new so I picked up a Wii U. The thing I like the Wii U is the gamepad because it’s simething different and I always wanted like a tablet lol. The console is small and quite and doesn’t overheat. Gamepad is fun to use and slick with all the features can do and feels comfortable when holding it. I see myself playing this for a long time since I bought it for Super Smash Bros. :D 5/5 in my opinion!

The product I purchased was marked as "Acceptable" in the used section, but it seems to work just fine. Inconveniently enough, it still has all the data from the previous owners, and I haven’t had an opportunity to clear it off yet, which leads to long loading times, but I don’t really mind. It’s functional and it works just as I’d expect!

I bought this console for my son and all in the family play with it. Great resolution full HD and it works to surf the web

Okay first off, allow me to explain my love for Nintendo products. Like many of you, I have purchased every console they have released since the N64 (mainly for GoldenEye/Super Smash). They make very enjoyable and user friendly consoles. Every one of them, aside from the Wii U, is a 5 out of 5 in my book.To spare your eyes from reading a novel, I would like to break down my opinions into Pro’s and Con’s and then elaborate upon a specific Con that I shouldn’t have mistaken before purchasing.Pro’s:-The GamePad; I mentioned user friendly right? Well this thing is as easy to understand as it can get. My newborn can understand this intuitive controller. You can play your games on it without hogging the TV (for when the wife’s gotta rewatch every episode of Breaking Bad) and it’s easy to see without putting your contacts/glasses on!-It’s quiet; you won’t hog the TV or it’s volume with a noisy console!-The Games; there are some solid games that have already been released (The latest Super Smash, Mario Party, and Mario Kart, to name a few) and there are more to come!-It’s Cheap; seriously just compare that price tag to the Xbone or PS4.Con’s:-The Games; I know I said there are a few great games on this console and there are more to come, however, Few is the key word.-Charge Cables; the controllers all have different sized charging cables! WHY?! It would have been so much better if they all shared a standard size!-3DS Screen Share; it doesn’t exist. I bought this console, mostly for Super Smash Brothers and Xenoblade Chronicles X, but from somewhere, I got the idea that it could screen share with a 3DS. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate needs to be played on a larger screen, and with the GamePad, I thought that was a possibility! I was wrong. To put this myth to rest, THERE IS NO 3DS SCREEN SHARE GUYS, DON’T SPREAD THAT MYTH!That is how I feel about my recent purchase of the Wii U.Thank you for reading,Marcus Strait
