STRONG SPECIFICATIONS
Running on strong, custom-made hardware containing a CPU running at 1.24 GHz, a GPU clocked at 550 MHz and 2GB of RAM, the Wii U is the first Nintendo console to support HD graphics. The system features low-latency in transmitting data to the gamepad thanks to a special type of Wi-Fi it uses to connect to the device.
OFF-TV PLAY
Using the Wii U controller’s built-in screen, you can now play video games without using the TV, at a distance of up to 10 meters! As long as you have the Wii U on, you can pretty much play off-tv in any room of your house.
NINTENDO WII U – THE GAMES
With over 700 games in its library, full backwards compatibility with Wii games and virtual consoles for the NES, SNES, GBA, N64 and DS, the Wii U will provide you with countless hours of entertainment, be it through its main titles, or by taking you back to retro gaming.
THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: THE WIND WAKER
Part of the beloved Legend of Zelda series, The Wind Walker is set on a group of islands in a vast sea. The player controls series protagonist Link as he attempts to save his sister from the sorcerer Ganon and becomes embroiled in a struggle for the Triforce, a sacred wish-granting relic. Aided by allies including pirate captain Tetra – an incarnation of Princess Zelda – and a talking boat named the King of Red Lions, Link sails the ocean, explores islands, and traverses dungeons to acquire the power necessary to defeat Ganon.
NINTENDOLAND
This party title features twelve minigames, each based on an existing Nintendo franchise that will take full advantage of the Wii U’s innovative controller. The game takes place in an amusement park, with attractions representing its minigames, which vary from solo to team and even competitive experiences, for countless hours of fun. You can even play using Wii Remotes and Nunchuks!
SUPER SMASH BROS
Featuring 58 playable characters including 17 newcomers from beloved Nintendo franchises, this crossover fighting title will have you and your friends battling it out to see which Nintendo character is the ultimate fighting machine! The gameplay is now enhanced by the 1080p resolution, new arenas and even three new exclusive game modes: Smash Tour, Special Orders, and Event Mode.
NEW SUPER MARIO BROS U
Building on the elements of the previous titles in this series and on the classic Super Mario Bros experience, this 2.5D platformer will once again take you on a quest to save Princess Peach from Bowser’s evil claws. You can even play with up to 4 of your friends, with the GamePad allowing you to manipulate the environment!
NEW SUPER LUIGI U
If Luigi is your favorite of the two plumbers, then this game is for you! With him placed as the star of the game, the levels are similar to those of New Super Mario Bros, but they have been made slightly shorter and far more challenging.
SUPER MARIO 3D WORLD
This sequel to Super Mario 3D Land features a mix of mechanics from both the 3D and 2D iterations of Mario, allowing you to both free-roam through the level, while at the same time retaining the time-limit and flagpole of the older titles. You and your friends can choose from a list of characters including Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad, and the unlockable Rosalina, each with their own feel and abilities.
MARIO KART 8
Mario 8 brings the same fast-paced battle racing you expect from the series. It features 32 playable characters, out of which 16 are unlockable, and 48 different courses, of which 16 are remodels of your favorite ones from previous games. I bought this console used, and wasn’t expecting much the whole thing was scratched up badly, difnt come with nintendo land but it works perfectly and i love it. I am a bit mad about the not getting nintendo land but I’ve alreafy bought some games, also would recommend getting Breath Of The Wild on the Wii U unless you have it on your switch.

So far, so good. Suffice it to say, this was one item I had a mad on for, and while it has some draw backs, it’s still an improvement over its predecessor. This version comes with NINTENDO LAND, a good game, but while I love the feature that lets you utilize the gamepad to see what you’re playing, allowing you, or someone else to watch TV, while you "Get your GAME ON!" Some games require you to see the TV SCREEN in order to play…When this came out, I was really excited for the YOUR SHAPE: FITNESS EVOLVED game (Sold separately)…but again, it did not allow me the option to switch from gamepad, to TV…however, NINTENDOLAND and YOUR SHAPE were infancy games when the system came out…I’ve noticed that this problem has been rectified with games like MARIO KART 8, WII FIT U, LEGEND OF ZELDA: THE WINDWAKER for WII U), and you can re-program your old WII Games to play on WII U….so you can still play games like SPIDER-MAN, MARIO BROS. WII, ETC. but you need to use a Wii remote and gamepad, where some WII U games let you use the GAMEPAD, like a WII REMOTE. Also, it looks like with the release of SUPER SMASH BROS. for WII U it will allow you to play GAMEUBE games as well, 9which was near impossible in the beginning,) so don’t chuck those out just yet.

Works exactly as it should, with very little scratches or scuffs on the system. Came with extra controllers which is great. Person who used to own it didn’t format the console, but that meant I got some free games so its all good!

You can not go wrong with the Nintendo Wii U. This console is amazing for the entire family! Sure, there’s a limited amount of games out, but the potential and expectations of upcoming games are astounding! Graphics are the best they’ve ever been, continuations of our favorite characters’ stories are up to par, great addition to family time.

The graphics in games are nice, and the fact that it plays Wii games is cool (being able to play Skyward Sword over HDMI was an enjoyable experience). I just wish there were more games out for it. Nintendo is fixing that in the coming months, but for now the only Wii U exclusive worth owning is New Super Mario Bros. U.

I love that all of my old Wii titles are backwards compatible. Really looking forward to Mario Kart 8, which is the real reason for our upgrade. Now our kids will have double the Wii choices.-Eric

My Wii U arrived very fast and still packaged completely untouched. It came with Nintendoland and I also bought Mario Bros, I’ve been having a BLAST with it, and the ergonomics of the wiipad is excellent! I love the TV control feature of the wiipad, I can change the input, volume, and the channels, it is synced with both the tv and cable box, I can switch back to my game whenever, friggin rocks!
