So far I have only played Asteroids, Centipede and Missile Command (I’ve only had it hooked up for 2 days). Games play fine with wireless joystick. I had to order a HDMI to RCA Composite Video/Audio connector as I am already using all 3 HDMI ports on my 39 in TV. Adapter works with my TV. Not sure where the 120 games figure comes from. There are 79 Atari and 20 Activision game titles. However, if you count variations, 1 or 2 player, difficulty levels, etc., they far exceed 120.

My favorite things about this console:- Small and lightweight, easy to carry around and store.- 120 games in a beautifully laid out and functional menu system, using the original cartridge box artwork.- HDMI connectivity, at 720p. Even though these games are nearly 40 years old, the video is crystal clear and the sound is great.- The ability to pause, save/load games, and replay to get through tough spots in games are outstanding new features.- Standard 2600 joystick controllers can be used, if you prefer them over the wireless ones.- "Yar’s Revenge" and "Pitfall" are worth the price of admission alone. YR is such a great game, and I’ve so many fond memories of playing it for hours on end. I’d never even heard of the included "Yar’s Return", which expands on the original game’s challenges is some very cool ways.- "Space Invaders" isn’t the original 2600 version, it the Taito arcade version. Awesome!- Most importantly, the trip down memory lane is a wonderful thing to enjoy. Here’s some concerns I’ve read in various places, that perhaps I can help clear up:- Can’t pause or save games: Granted, for some reason this isn’t included in the instructions, but I easily found out how to display that menu using a Google search. Simply pull back on the joystick and press select to access it.- Screwdriver required to install batteries: The battery lid is held closed more securely with the single screw, which I actually prefer. If there wasn’t one, I suspect.

Got to play games with grandchildren. They really liked asteroids. Wireless controllers make all he difference. Simple to set up, great to play some games I have a chance to win.

Do not pay attention to negative reviews regarding controllers, I too hesitated to buy this product. Setup and wireless connection of controllers are very easy. Controllers work fine and flawlessly, wireless controllers make it easier for me and my child to sit on the sofa and enjoy. This product does bring back old memories. We used it so much in 2 days that the batteries for controllers died out, I think it is better to get 4 rechargeable AAA batteries with this product or wired controllers will be fine too. For the users who want to use it out the US such as myself, the products work on both 110 and 220 volts 50/60Hz and have Type A plug type so you need a converter for other types of sockets.I reduce one star for 2 reasons. First, you need a screwdriver to access the batteries. It was hard for my child to open the compartment and replace them on his own but as I showed him how to do it he is now able to manage it easily. But it could be much easier to replace the batteries. Second, the controller are plastic and not as sturdy as it used to be in old days, feels a bit flimsy and might break if excert a lot of pressure.

Ok the first one I was shipped was messed up but retrolio made it right and sent me another one. I really like it and it so reminds me if being 17 again. Best 50 bucks I’ve spent in awhile.

Do you remember when gaming & social media were not replacements for “real” human contact? My family errors on the side of less on-line & media exposure, especially for my 8 & 12Yr old kids. I wanted them to feel less left out of lunch-room banter about the gaming world. This novelty gives them a frame of reference, without the glamour that is hard to leave after an hour of play.Pros: (might be your cons)- 80’s Nostalgia that I grew up with- I love that it is not connected to the internet,- Graphics are not humanoid in shoot-em’ up scenariosCons:- the wireless joysticks eat batteries for breakfast.- doesn’t help you keep up with the Jones’ or lunch-room shoot ’em up banter

This was for the “boys.” It started as a lark and snowballed into the “I NEED the paddles (Gold+Deluxe).” If you are expecting anything resembling a current system, turn around, go back. If you want a good chewy bite of nostalgia for lining up quarters next to an arcade joystick, this it your jam, baby!!
