WWE WrestleMania XIX

WWE WrestleMania XIX is a professional wrestling video game released for the GameCube by THQ in 2003. Based on the professional wrestling promotion World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). It is the sequel to WWE WrestleMania X8. However, the roster consists of around sixty-nine WWE wrestlers between May 6, 2002 and March 31, 2003. As the WWE was beginning to shift its momentum from the Attitude Era into the Ruthless Aggression Era.

Unlike the previous game and other contemporary WWE games. WrestleMania XIX does not feature a conventional story/career mode in which players control a particular wrestler in a series of matches. Instead, the game features “Revenge Mode” a mission-based mode in which players try to achieve certain goals in various locations outside of the ring. Also most of the background music of the game was in the Xbox game WWE Raw 2. And the PlayStation 2 game WWE SmackDown! Here Comes the Pain.

Revenge Mode

In Revenge Mode, players can select any superstar on the roster (except for Stephanie McMahon and Vince McMahon) or a create superstar. So the story begins with the player being drag out of an arena by security guards and literally toss into the street. Later, the player encounters Stephanie McMahon. But Stephanie notices that the player wants revenge on Vince McMahon for firing them. And the player and Stephanie devise a plan to ruin Vince’s flagship pay-per-view, WrestleMania. But to do this, the player is sent to various locations and must combat workers and wrestlers hire as security (both authentic and created who are generate and unlock randomly) they encounter in each location. With objectives such as disrupting a construction site, sinking a WWE own shipment barge. And destroying a mall that was set up for fan festivities.

After the player completes objectives in the perimeter areas, they fight Vince at WrestleMania XIX in a match. However, if the player wins, Stephanie appears to congratulate the player. But immediately regrets the deal, getting spear by Goldberg and seemingly disappearing into cash.

Hey yo! This game is by far the worst wrestling game made & I have played them all. If u are simply looking for Exhibition Matches vs. each other this is your game. And can someone please put Kane’s new music on a game..the man gets no respect! If you’re looking to do story mode & battle for titles which is the point of these games, don’t waste your energy. Someone should sit Vince down & make him play these games & ask the man what was he thinking… & then give him a chokeslam. You have to play very hard stages in a harbor, a mall, & other stupid places getting triple teamed constantly never being able to complete the mission or pull off one move & never ever getting to actually wrestle in the ring for the title. Very very very frustrating. I recommend PS2 Smackdown games. And that’s the bottom line…..

A very fun game ! Ruthless aggression is the best era ever!

This game is in a single word… well I can’t say what that word is here. So we’ll leave it at REALLY bad, nausiatingly bad, horrible, nasty, worst ame ever. Not even worth 1 star. This game is SO bad I am trading it on on anything, I don’t care how bad the game was, it cant POSSIBLY compare to this. I am half tempted to put the disk in the microwave. For starters… the story mode. One part you are in the parking garage performing tasks and puzzles. It tells you "Get the breifcase" but it doesn’t really show you where it is, it doesn’t show on the map in the corner, and the instructions before the mission dont really tell you how to get to it when you find it. When you go down the steps you are playing frogger with cars, you think it’s safe to walk outside the line? Oh HELL no. They are driving on the sidewalks! You get hit, mission over. Total time, thirty seconds.Second part of this mission, you have to go to the other side again where you started. Sure is a lot of traffic for a PARKING GARAGE! So then, you FINALLY after thirty tries get there. You have to fight four on one. The indicators that tell who you are focusing on is hidden under the feet of all four so you’re not sure who you’re fighting. If someone is laying on the ground at your feet and you have four others to fight, you can’t tell which one you are FIGHTING?? And the opponents stamina is endless. Four people beating on you, you can’t run, there’s no where TO run. So they beat on you, and slam you thr.

I just recieved Wrestlemania XIX yesterday and I can say that it’s not too bad.THQ still needs to do a lot of work to get this to the level of the still revered N64 WWF No Mercy. But it’s enjoyable to play and challenging. I matched up Lita Vs The Undertaker and just like in a real match, The Undertaker [defeated me].The tutorial is also great. Highly recommended that you use it first so you know how the controller scheme works.

  9. Jacob Wilson

Great game great singer player mode one of the greatest wrestling games they ever made for GameCube because it has great graphics for the time it was made in definitely worth the buy for any video game collector definitely a must have

  10. Kyle Franko

this is the best wrestling game ever!!! I played my share of wrestling games. Heck! I own Crush Hour(GC),Wrestlemania X8(GC),Wrestlemnaia XIX (GC), No Mercy(N64),and Smackdown Know your role(PS1). Anyway, Wrestlemania XIX is the greatest to date. I mean the graphics rock, storyline’s great. and all the new wrestlers on it that X8 didn’t have, like Rey Mysterio, Cena, Steiner, Nowinski, Victoria, Dawn Marie, HBK, and more. All in all, this game rocks!! Total I give this game a 10!! If Wrestlemania XX ever comes out, I’ll be reviewing it! ROCK ON!!!!!
