  1. Joseph Buelow

    All around great game

  2. John Miller

An enjoyable game. It needs additional information concerning how to use features and capabilities along with placement of road types.

  3. Ben

A modern approach to city building games which has a dedicated community to discuss, help, and create mods for each other.Pros:-Can be modded-Graphics look crisp, clear, and can be adjusted to fit your computer’s ability-Menus are simplistic, modern, and easy to use and understand-Some parts of game play can be customized (like infinite money) without modsCons:-Not compatible with Intel Integrated Graphics (basically unplayable on my secondary PC)-DLC is overpriced for what it does considering the base game averages $30. I’d love to get the Natural Disasters DLC but it’s $15, half of the game’s price. There is a learning curve and it can be frustrating at times. While this gives some people a sense of accomplishment when figuring something out, it can be tedious for those who just wanted a smooth, sandbox game play.Overall, this game is worth a try if you enjoy management sims or games. The graphics and game play outperform those from the Simcity series.

What the recent versions of Sim City should have been. If you like playing a game where you can take your time and watch things grow, you’ll probably like this game. Some of the game controls are a bit confusing to use at first, and it can be incredibly frustrating to build intersections until you finally get the hang of the odd controls, but if you stick with it you’ll get the hang of it.One of the best aspects of the game are all of the user created downloadable content and plugins you can use to enhance game play.

A game you could get lost into for hours… or days. Such a great city building game that has the full support from their devs rolling out update after update, and the mod community that is constantly adding new buildings, roads, intersections, etc. This game is endless fun.

  6. Seth

Like other reviewers have said, it’s the game you wish SimCity was. Watch "Our Passion for Cities: Skylines" on YouTube and you can see the game developers talk about the love they put into it. Compared to SimCity, there’s bigger maps, more customization, lots of dlc, mods like crazy, and attractive models and environments. Having played a lot of SimCity (along with older iterations) I have to say Cities: Skylines has a better road tool. If you play these kinds of games you’ll know how huge that is. There’s a lot to like here. I love that you can create districts and set policies unique to the district. I do wish they’d put out some futuristic dlc, similar to SimCity’s Cities of Tomorrow (probably the coolest dlc in a city builder ever). I would give it a 5 and for the current level of tech in this genre, it maybe deserves one. I rate at a 4 though until Cities does something truly revolutionary with the franchise, like letting me mod in-game to my heart’s content. Then I’d really be a god.

  7. Nicholas Wisniewski

Pros:Very fun gameAlways something to doAlways getting updatesLooks very goodCons:Takes awhile to learn the gameI got this game to get away from other competitive games! I wanted a game that i could just sit back and chill while spending more hours then i should trying to build a city and keep it running while listening to music. Reminds me a lot of roller coaster tycoon! Very fun game

  8. Jaguar

Haven’t played it much but I can tell is better than the previous SIMCITY 2013. It seems more restrictive with low population and more detailed which I like. The graphics are better.

  9. Bobby

Well worth the money! Works on Windows and Linux. Excellent alternative to SimCity. I would recommend this game to everyone.

  10. T, Shook

A fun game. Still is even after so many years now. I still play it now and then.
