I bought a DS last year, because I had a lot of time to kill at school/ college, and I was bored of listening to my Ipod/ Facebook, So I bought a original one because its cheaper. I thought buying a DS would be a fun time waster but, In my opinion this is one of my favorite game systems. Part of the reason is that it has in my opinion a really big, and diverse library. it has something for everybody, RPGs/ Shooters/ Adventure/ Sports/ Puzzles, for me it got me into point and click adventure games. The product itself is pretty good, it isn’t as slim, or lighting as good as a Lite, but it plays just fine, to me it is more comfortable than the GBA, and I liked the bigger screen, the touch controls are also pretty good, (Though some games do overuse them). All in all it is a great system.

This is the most durable DS I got for my 5 year old! The screen has a really good picture and it also has a slot for the ol Gameboy games and uses an Gameboy charger. You want something that will last and last here it is!
A few minor scratches on the exterior, and a bit of wear on the edges. As for the inside. The top screen looks absolutely clear and the buttons are very responsive. The volume is good. The system is smooth. This is one of the most satisfying devices I’ve bought on retrolio.
After reading other reviews and recommendations, I decided to purchase the original DS instead of the lite or DSi because I wanted something a little more sturdy for my 10 & 7 year olds. They were extremely happy this Christmas to receive these and they feel better built than the lite, plus they seem to last longer. My kids are happy so that makes mom happy! We haven’t had any problems or issues with them. They were perfect!

Pretty great condition upon arrival, all buttons function and very few blemishes on shell. Only think that was odd was it came with a DSLite stylus so I had to purchase ones that would fit.

The shop I purchased this device from was outstanding! I received it a few days earlier than expected, which was a plus. The system was exactly how the shop described it. It came with the charger, a nintendogs case, a stylus (which the shop said would not come with it, but it did) and a game. The product is in great condition and the price was worth it.

Bought used looked scuffed and noticeably used but it held up remarkably well even after being dropped and one side coming completely off for a year.
