I bought a DS last year, because I had a lot of time to kill at school/ college, and I was bored of listening to my Ipod/ Facebook, So I bought a original one because its cheaper. I thought buying a DS would be a fun time waster but, In my opinion this is one of my favorite game systems. Part of the reason is that it has in my opinion a really big, and diverse library. it has something for everybody, RPGs/ Shooters/ Adventure/ Sports/ Puzzles, for me it got me into point and click adventure games. The product itself is pretty good, it isn’t as slim, or lighting as good as a Lite, but it plays just fine, to me it is more comfortable than the GBA, and I liked the bigger screen, the touch controls are also pretty good, (Though some games do overuse them). All in all it is a great system.

This is the most durable DS I got for my 5 year old! The screen has a really good picture and it also has a slot for the ol Gameboy games and uses an Gameboy charger. You want something that will last and last here it is!
A few minor scratches on the exterior, and a bit of wear on the edges. As for the inside. The top screen looks absolutely clear and the buttons are very responsive. The volume is good. The system is smooth. This is one of the most satisfying devices I’ve bought on retrolio.
After reading other reviews and recommendations, I decided to purchase the original DS instead of the lite or DSi because I wanted something a little more sturdy for my 10 & 7 year olds. They were extremely happy this Christmas to receive these and they feel better built than the lite, plus they seem to last longer. My kids are happy so that makes mom happy! We haven’t had any problems or issues with them. They were perfect!
Came as stated. Still working today. Few noticeable scratches. Would recommend. Actually purchased to use for parts for other DS’s however, my son uses it all the time. Have had no problems with it at all

I ordered 2 of these for my sons for Christmas. Even though they were used, they were in great condition, and well worth the money.However, they came with the wrong charger. The chargers included were for a 3DS, and didn’t fit. So on Christmas morning my kids had these great game systems, that they waited for all year, and they couldn’t use them.I immediately emailed them telling them the problem, and they sent me the right ones within a week. By then we had already bought one’s that fit, so the boys could use them, but it was a very nice, and professional thing to do. And now we have spares!

It does everything I expected it to do, except use the top screen. I may need to use the top screen, yet it includes thickness which will make it more durable.
