This game had tickled my love for RPGs as well as my love for spy/stealth games. I pretty much had to buy it. It has it’s positives, as well as it’s obvious negatives, but overall it’s a damn fun game I can’t put down. And I will be doing a 2nd playthough.Graphics – 3.5/5 Nothing special here, just your average looking game. The environments look bland, the character models are actually pretty damn good looking up close. But the voices don’t always match up with what they are saying.Sound – 5/5 The voice acting is top notch, one of the key features that helps make a great story better in any game. The background music isn’t too spectacular, but it does the job. The sounds of guns, as well as some of the other sound effects are pretty generic, but don’t distract from the game.Gameplay – 2/5 This is where most people have a problem with this game. The AI is terrible, with enemies getting stuck on corners, and all the things that would normally make this a bad game. The shooting is flawed until you level up, which in theory sounds good, but is poorly excecuted.. There is a bright light at the end of this tunnel however, when you beat the game on recruit you unlock veteran, which grants you a lot more skills right off the bat, thus making the game more enjoyable to a HUGE degree.Story – 5/5 This is where the game shines. Every choice you make results in a differnt game. I don’t want to spoil anything, but sometimes when you make friends with the right people, they wi.

This game is one of the most complete games i’ve played after Mass Effect of course, the only thing that takes away from thegame is the poor graphics but the game play, game IA and story of Alpha Protocol makes up for it, specially when you havean immense variety of choices and endings. Two thumbs up :)

Most people will probably love or hate Alpha Protocol. It’s Obsidian’s first original IP and it has a lot of potential and creativity behind it. Unfortunately while the story-based elements of Alpha Protocol are impressive, the actual gameplay never comes close to matching it.In Alpha Protocol you play agent Michael Thorton. The story is told in a sort of flash-back, flash-forward format. The dialogue is filled with espionage-type details and really draws you in if you’re a fan of spy fiction. You’ll meet some a-typical characters along the way that seem like they’re straight out of Metal Gear. It’s an intriguing mix of real-life seriousness and goofyness and for the most part works in keeping you engaged in the story. The voice-acting is also pretty good for the most part especially when you consider the plot-branching involved in this game (which is the best part of the gameplay). After choosing your professional background and stats you wake up on an operating table and are forced to fight your way through a tutorial level. After some training levels you’re taken to different places around the world and given a selection of missions and handlers which you can choose to complete at your leisure. In fact that’s the best thing about this game: the choices you make. Every choice you make in the game has branching consequences which decides how the game itself plays out. Even your professional background decides some of your dialgoue choices. Not even the Mass Effect games have.

This game is actually enjoyable i bought the other day at game stop for 10 dollars it was very worth it i played this game for hours and hours it was very addicting! The AI is terrible. The music sucks. The game play is most of the time fun. The graphics aren’t that bad. The voice acting is decent most of the time seems like Micheal Thorton has no expression in his voice. The story Is great. The boss battles aren’t that bad but challenging when using martial arts.

Alpha Protocol is a very good game that people judge too harshly. The gameplay is fine. The graphics are fine. The story is great. The music is fine. Despite what people say, the voice acting is not that bad. Not great, but not bad. I loved this game for many reasons. 1.) I love stealth. This is a STEALTH RPG. It isn’t meant to be beaten guns blazing (though you can if you really want to). 2.) I love RPGs. This game allows pretty in-depth skill customization for what it is, and choices you make impact the story and how characters see you. 3.) I found the story very interesting. However, not everything is perfect. Everything could have been improved, but that’s true for any game. The biggest problem I had was the amount of small bugs and glitches that I encountered (bad/slow textures, AI glitches, weird gun-holding glitch), but they were not big enough to take away from the game’s fun, especially because they weren’t frequent. All-in-all, a very good game for its price. If you like stealth and RPGs, this game will be great for you. I’d recommend it.

Alpha Protocol is an RPG/Shooter about a man and his ability to being kind of an ass.You play through, leveling what guns you want to use and what abilities and armor you gain and use to complete the missions. Using context to gain information, weapons and to avoid unnecessary battle.Graphics are good and the game is really fun. Gameplay works well.

Every now and then you get one of those games that shows just how limited a single numeric scale can be for rating a title. For example, picture a game with noticeably unbalanced abilities, frequently encountered gameplay and visual bugs, and an all-around lack of polish. And yet, despite all these flaws, you find an unexpectedly involving game with well-written characters; heroes who make you cheer when they succeed, villians who inspire true hatred in the player, and a world that reacts in a seemingly organic fashion to what you’ve done earlier in the game. What would you rate a game like that? It’s got too many problems to merit a good score, but a bad or average score wouldn’t do it justice either. This is precisely makes Alpha Protocol so hard to rate. An espionage RPG from the developers of Fallout: New Vegas and Knights of the Old Republic II, Alpha Protocol’s creators certainly know how to deliver compelling writing in a medium that so often lacks even the sophistication of a Michael Bay summer blockbuster — and for myself at least, that’s enough to overlook the problems that can appear in the game. Give it a try if you want something different from the Final Fantasies and Elder Scrolls that loom over the genre like the behemoths they are — the ride may be bumpy at times, but it’ll certainly be a unique one.

I would have given it five stars, but we can’t romance the mute, and she’s the only one I really want.

Alpha Protocol is very underrated. A stealth espionage RPG! Now that is awesome… In a gaming world where it is dominated by a first person shooters with little substance (see CoD) Alpha Protocol stands out.Alpha Protocol’s plot is very good. The mechanics are alright. While it doesn’t perfect anything in any one area. It does many this well. Story telling, preparing your gear before your missions, staying at your safehouses, stealth infiltration, even shooting if need be (not its strongest point) decision making similiar to Dragon Age or Mass Effect.Alpha Protocol is definitely worth a pkaythrough. I owned this game when it first came out, and am purchased it again. I highly recommend Alpha Protocol to those fans of Splinter Cell, Metal Gear Solid, Dragon Age and Mass Effect.
