  1. Serafim

The game came faster than I thought. And it is fun. Just a few thing I don’t like about the game play itself. But otherwise great!

  2. Sab187

I don’t usually write reviews, but I love this game. It has great action, astoundingly fluid game play, and an outstanding story. It has some of the best story arcs I have seen in this game type. The Character bios are very entertaining and informative for both Batman history buffs and novices alike. Overall this game is both fun and challenging. A great buy.

  3. Mistress Widow

I bought this for my fiancee for Christmas, he loved the game. I even was amused by it and thought the graphics were pretty good. The only complaint he had was the ability to get achievements after you complete the game, he said you should have to get the collectibles and stuff the first run and not get a second chance at it.

  4. That Guy

I’ve played videogames since the Atari 2600 days, in that time I’ve ran across several Batman videogames and can honestly say that I hardly remember any of them because they where such forgettable. To say this is the best Batman game ever does not really do it justice, this game not only far exceeds previous titles involving the Dark Knight it completely raises the bar for what superhero themed videogames should be. The graphics are top notch, the voice over work is spectacular (there is no better voice talent to bring the Joker to life like Mark Hamil) and the overall fun factor behind this game is outstanding. The aproach to this game is what makes it so special, you don’t just rush a group of henchmen and start beating the pulp out of them (that approach can be sloppy and get you killed). You actually take the aproach Batman is supposed to take. You hide in the shadows, you stalk your prey, you use your gadgets to help you take down the bad guys. The enemy AI is also something to be talked about, they organize when they see one of their own has been taken out, some of them start to panic and run off if you create enough chaos. If you are on the fence regarding this game because you are not sure you’ll like it, I would say place those hesitations aside and buy it. With the way things are now a days not many games are actually worth the $60 price tag. Batman: Arkham Asylum si one of the few that does.

    Nice Game

  6. Thomas N. Tsongas

Let me preface this review by stating the following: I am not a huge Batman fan. Amidst the pantheon of various superheroes, Batman was never at the top of my list when compared to the more flashy characters in either the DC or Marvel universes. With that being said, I say with all conviction: this game is INCREDIBLE.Where to begin? First and foremost, the graphics are outstanding. The movement and motions are fluid and there is no choppiness that plagues some games. The story line is extremely intricate and involved, but not so confusing that more novice game players will get frustrated. The game has plenty of guidance built into it and slowly brings more gadgets into the game as it progresses. That adds to the intrigue and mystique and makes the game play much more interesting. It will take the average user some time to get through the game in its entirety. But there are never really any slow or boring moments. The tapestry of Arkham Asylum and the graphic cinematography are very well done and produce an almost haunted house style to the game, giving it that edge that fits the Batman Dark Knight persona.I think many users will be especially impressed by the Scarecrow mini-missions that are very fun and almost surreal in their style.Overall, this is a great game. Easily the best superhero game ever and possibly one of the best XBox games of all time.

this is by far the best superhero game everit has everything a good game needs:good animationgood voice actinggood storylinelet’s start with the voices. if you’re familar with Batman the Animated Series then you’ll notice that Batman, Joker, and Harley are all voiced by the same people from the showKevin Conroy as BatmanMark Hamill as JokerArleen Sorkin as Harleyothers include Jay Leno’s announcer as RiddlerTom Kane as Gordon and Warden SharpSteven Blum as Killer CrocFred Tatasciore as BaneCree Summers as Dr. Youngand many othersthe storlyine, written by Paul Dini, is probably the best part. It manages to bring in many of Batman’s greatest foes without overcrowding. they include the joker, harley quinn, scarcrow, poison ivy, bane, killer croc, the riddler, and zsasz. you can also find cells that belong to two face, calender man, clayface, the riddler, mister freeze and the dead body of Ra’s which mysteriously vanishes after you solve a riddle involving himi highly recommended this game to die hard batman fans

  8. A. Koenigseker

Very impressive overall. Excellent graphics, addictive and flowing combat with variation to spare and a dark – but not too dark for most kids – atmosphere that match the last two movies. The voice work was mostly spot-on, especially the Joker and the Batman, whose voices were delivered by the actors from the animated series and well-scripted for the most part. The Riddler’s challenges were not terribly challenging overall, but were a nice diversion. I agree with many of the professional reviews that you could easily leave the Detective Mode on all the time with little loss of fidelity as the only sacrifice is basically a color-wash to counteract the gain of x-ray and ‘secret’ vision. I only turned it off in most places to enjoy the full color scenery and during combat where fighting red skeletons was distracting. The game was definately enjoyable all the way through and encountering the numerous characters was a welcome change to most ‘one-villan’ games. A definite must play for any 3rd person action/adventure player.

  9. U. Gaddi

Very true to the original nature of the characters with very impressive graphics! A good over all storyline. One minor drawback of the game is that its storyline is a bit shorter than some other games of the same genre. Although the challenges rounds are fun as well but I really wish that the story line was bit longer. But still it was a pretty good gaming experience!

Really, there isn’t too much to say that hasn’t been said about this game. If you enjoy Batman and video games, you owe it to yourself to buy this.
