KOEI gets a bad rap in my opinion. Sure they tend to produce button mashers that are a little weak on story or they simply try to repackage concepts over and over, but that can be good at times. Bladestorm doesn’t really fit that mold. Set during the Hundred years war, this is a game that is long and takes a little bit to get into. The controls are different and take some getting used to and after awhile you end up either liberating or ransacking the same cities multiple (and I do mean multiple) times. But, once you get into the game it is pretty fun. It involves some strategy, but not in the tradtional “you move then I move” sense. Worth the time. Just don’t expect to finish it in a week. Maybe not even in a month.

The game came undamaged. The disc looked near perfect. Package came very fast to me. The game is very fun.

this game is great. its basically an RPG. you are a mercenary for hire. a war between the french and the english, you can fight for either side, the 100 years war, you cant modify your “character’s traits or anything like that”. you modify these “books”, each “book” is a different group that you group up with. for instance “sword”. you group up with this group that has a sword and you use this group to attack the enemy with. after attacking the enemy for awhile you start leveling up. then at the end of the battle you can add points into slots according to how much experience you gained for that round “according to the book you were attacking with, for example, sword, if you were gaining levels in sword usage, you will be able to put points into the book: sword. you only gain experience when you increase in level. there are are about 10 different “books” that you can choose from. from spear, sword, bow and arrow. crossbow. lance on horseback, pike, bow on horseback, magic, mace, and many others. each battle are different stages.the main point of the game is to capture different territories while youre on the battlefield. you have a time limit for each battle. and your objective varies. every objective is to basically capture a certain territory. the game is alot of fun. if you like the middle ages, midieval type games. this game will be alot of fun for you. i have owned it for about a year now. and i still play it. the game is always exciting. there is no change in difficulty.

Overall the game is really fun. I have very few complaints about it. The main thing is lack of upgrades for the units you take control of. And the other complaint is when the characters have a monologue, It is really super short and they speed talk through everything. Kinda lame but I guess there are a few ups and downs to every game. The controls are simple once you get used to them, but are a bit different. Everything is has a really easy layout to it, and the tutorials are completely thorough.I would give the game an 8/10

When I first played this game I was awed by the stunning visuals and large scale battles. There are not many aspects of this game that you can change for the better, the only thing that I found that started to aggravate me after a while were the fighting controls, they weren’t too bad so it doesn’t make much of an impact on the game. This game has a good mixture of strategy and chaotic fighting so if you like either of those you owe it to yourself to get this game.

This game is probably the most underrated of its type. You will have sooo much fun with it and wont put it down. Its a mix of dynasty warriors, streategy games, and has an RPG touch to it. The graphics are just BEAUTIFUL in HD. The only complaint i would have is the voice acting and the not being able to explore unless your doing a mission. But the game is still overall good and fun. If your a fan of theese types of games, pick this one up.
