I’m not gonna lie, this game was a total impulse purchase when I saw it on the store shelf a few days ago. But I am sure glad I decided to buy it. In today’s world where technology has caused us to have stupidly short attention spans and concentration periods, this game is probably a very much needed product for most of us! And unlike the last 2 games, this one is HARD and actually forces you to improve…I kid you not when I say I can literally feel my head hurting or feeling hot after I get done with the daily sessions! xD This game easily has more than double the content of the last 2 games, so it’s an absolute steal for $30! If you have a club nintendo account, then make sure to buy this game new since it comes with a code!

Brain Age: Concentration Training is well-named. The focal point of the latest in Nintendo’s famous brain-training series is specifically designed to test–and strengthen–your focus and ability to concentrate, as well as to remember useful information on a short-term basis. The game refers to this as “working memory.” And right off the bat, you are thrown into the first exercise of the game’s core content: Devilish Training.Rather than simply ask you to do simple addition and subtraction problems (see the previous titles’ Calculations x 20), “Devilish Calculations” challenges you to remember the answers to previously-asked problems. First off, it asks you to remember the previous problem’s answer; then, the answers from two problems ago. Doing well? It’ll get harder. The speed increases. Then, you’ll have to remember three problems ago, which the game calls “3-Back.” Still doing well? Then, “4-Back.” Then, “5-Back.” Can you focus well enough to do this? How about for five solid minutes?Devilish Training actually offers eight separate exercises. They test your focus using your arithmetic skills (or lack thereof), your photographic memory, your ability to track movement, your ability to remember words or shapes, and quite a bit more. Each one of these exercises will continue to get harder as you succeed. You’ll eventually reach a point where you fail, and possibly even get demoted to a previous level. That’s okay, the game says, because Devilish Training is supposed.

I’ve racked up about 30 days attendance with this game so far, and I’ve just about unlocked all the mini-games. So far I can say I’m very happy with this purchase. My only real complaint is that the doctor in the game can become pretty aggravating, especially if you find yourself struggling with a particular game and getting frustrated (“Are you writing numbers at random when you don’t know the answer?” Why yes, I am, thank you for noticing and rubbing it in).I bought this title to help re-gain my laser sharp focus that sort of went by the wayside as I got into early adulthood and my attentions were spread in so many directions at once. This game forces you to concentrate very intensely for 5 minutes at a time and little by little measurably improves your attention span.Overall, I’m very pleased with it, and I intend to keep using it every day.

This game is design to help you have better concentration… To the extreme!!! It’s not like the previous games of Brain Age, this one really pushes you to the limit of your focus, at the point that it doesn’t allow you to go over 5 minutes of deep concentration! I tried, and what I got was a mayor headache!!!So, follow the "doctor’s notes" if you want to perform better at concentration, highly recommended for EVERYONE! No matter what your age is!!!

This game is perfect for young and old. I find it quite challenging, which I like. I also like that you have to wait day to day to get a new game, which there are a ton of different games in this one game. Its worth the price you pay for it. They made new fun and challenging games, as well as bringing back old games from Brain Age 2, which I also like. I want to keep going back to the game every day because its such a challenge and because there are so many different levels/sub category games. I definitely think this is a must have game in your 3DS collection. I personally do not use the 3D effects on this game though. But graphics are nice.Pros- Lots of different games within 1 game. -Challenging Great upgrade from Brain Age 2Cons- Sometimes it has problems recognizing my handwriting, which could be either my handwriting or not. It gives me penalties even though I wrote the correct answer sometimes.

I bought this for my 7 year old grandson. He was somewhat unsure of all of it but I know by the time I left to come home he had gotten the hang of it and enjoyed starting at the bottom and working his way up. He is limited on time to play on the wii and his 3DS unless he plays something educational. He will be just fine and enjoy the challenge of going beyond where he is now.For someone older it would be great and for someone who is not working it is a great review of years past. It will train the brain again and let you know if you still have it or not. I have a 3 year old granddaughter and I know my grandson will teach her also. I think any parent, or child will enjoy this and reteach or just teach themselves.

I enjoy these games because I feel that they really do help. However trying to keep up with all the tasks day for day and going from spending just 10min a day to having to spend an hour a day to play the game and get your credit for everything becomes a pain.

If you like the other Brain Age games this one isn’t much different. Hard, but that is the point. Not sure it was worth $30 and hard to find time to play where I can concentrate and not get interrupted but I’ve enjoyed it.

I am in my 50’s and wanted to boost my brain function. This game will do it. It is challenging (sometimes frustrating) but I do in fact see results and I haven’t used it everyday. I highly recommend to anyone to keep your brain as fit as your body.
