It seems some people don’t like this game; but, my son and I LOVE it! The customization is wonderful and the fact that the same missions are online as offline makes it easier to get through them faster. I guess it could get boring after you tried every weapon and modification, but we are no way near that yet. The bot AI is great and they will kick our butts occasionally. It is a team oriented game and requires team support to win. So the ‘lone wolf run and gun guys’ will not like this as that type of play will not work. It kinda reminds us of counter strike.

Well, I’ve had this game for almost a month now, and It’s kept me entertained, to say the least. This game is awesome. The team and class-based gameplay is fun, and character and weapon customization is amazing. I have created tons of characters, just to see what different looks I can come up with. Before purchasing this game, I noticed that there was a 20 level cap. This made me a little uneasy about it, but in the month that i have been playing this off and on, I am only level 17.The guns and customization options in this game are very nice, and I kind of like the fact that you can’t “insta-kill” someone with your knife, or any weapon for that matter.S.M.A.R.T. is a very nice touch, and the main factor in my purchase of this game. S.M.A.R.T. is very smooth most of the time, and there are few times that I have to use the “jump” button to get around.Online gameplay is very fun, especially when people have mikes and are communicating well. The only real difference is very rare lag and smarter teammates (if you have humans on your team). The only real disappointment in this game is that the AI. Bots are mediocre on the opposing team and just downright stupid on yours. I have seen a group of three bots just standing around in a dead corner of the map, and one of them was on my team!!! I mean, they weren’t even shooting at each other!!!Overall, this game is very cool, and I would definitely recommend this to a friend. the only real problem in my opinion is the bots, and even that c.

*Note: Most of this review deals with online multiplayer*I just wanted to get this review out there in case anyone (I doubt it) is still on the fence about this game.I rented this game from redbox and spent two days with it. I had a BLAST! I really like intense, creep and crawl, sneak and hide, strategy and communication type first person shooters (Bad Company 2). This is NOT one of those games, which makes it so refreshing. After two days I returned the game to the redbox and went and bought it used for $34.99 from gamestop. If you play Bad Company 2 you are well aware of access codes for online multiplayer (an EA staple now) but rest assured, there is no such code for Brink, so you can save another $5 by just buying it used. There is a code that is used for stat tracking or something like that, but since this feature was implemented much later than release I suspect a lot of what is sitting on gamestop’s shelves still has valid stat tracker codes.I get the feeling that a lot of people who purchased this game brand new had their hopes set far too high. I understand how that happens, which is why I swore off buying games brand new (or *gasp* preordering) a few years ago. I like to let the reviews trickle in and see what the game REALLY is, not what it was purported to be pre-release. This game most certainly disappointed a lot of people, and for $60 I can totally understand, but a lot of the reviews on here really don’t do this game justice.Since this game has dropped.

Brink caters to a niche market and it largely delivers on its promises. The developers keep the fans updated and are even offering free DLC in the months to come. I always think a game is worth its weight in gold when the developers continue to offer free content and listen to customer feedback. The game itself has a create core concept of teamwork and freedom of movement. It can be difficult to get into games during off-peak hours. This is not always bad, but can sometimes be confusing if you are facing real or AI opponents. This game requires teamwork and is not recommended for the lone wolf players.Pros: great core concept, movement mechanics, experience from single player transfers to multiplayer, teamwork oriented game.Cons: Sometimes lopsided games due to poor matchmaking, AI teammates and opponent skill level various wildly

such a niche game. i absolutely loved this game. i still hop on to this day for some fun. AI was junk, and it was always about camping, camping to defend or trying to attack a point the AI camps to defend. very frustrating, but a good game. Dirty Bomb is its spiritual successor. check it out

I would like to start off this review with the bad:-Single player is very bare bones. The single player portion of Brink is very minimal. You play through around 20 missions, fighting with the Security Forces and the Rebels as they try to complete various objectives in order to save the Ark in the way that they see fit. The missions themselves, while fun, are very clearly multiplayer scenarios tied together by cutscenes between each level, leaving the player with a very distant feeling in terms of any kind of emotional investment in either “cause” that you fight for.-The SMART system. While a great idea in theory, the smart system seems sluggish and unresponsive at time. From what I’ve played, you need to hold down the smart button if you want to jump and vault your way across the terrain, which i find very annoying. If I’m wrong about this, please let me know, and i will edit this part out.-Parkour just doesn’t feel like parkour .While fun and useful to be able to dive, slide and vault over obstacles, it just doesn’t feel like i was hoping like it would feel. I was hoping for something more along the line’s of Mirrors Edge, which it kinda is, only slower.-EDIT-The “light” character build is far more nimble and responsive than the medium class, and is really fun, in my opinion. It makes sense: a medium build person would have a harder time doing the kind of parkour i was imagining! Now for the good, which i think Brink has a lot of:-Intense character customization.I’ll admit it,.

This is a very a surprisingly fun game with a greatly built universe which I would love to see explored more, in terms of Gameplay if your Played Batman Arkham Origins Online Multiplayer Well this is gonna look and sound familiar from the Guns to the customization of your created character but this game has by far a Deeper Create a Character Options from Voice to the stylized clothing selection also this has Most guns I’ve seen in a game it’s ridiculous as I played the game things keep unlocking I didn’t care about until I took a look and WOW! just from that I could tell that the developers worked hard on it but I wonder if they were rushed because there isn’t too much story mode it could defiantly use more cutscenes as there only a few before each level also an intro and ending story cutscene but there are plenty of unlockable audio logs that gives you the background of the story all in all this is a game that has potential and easy trophies they can be achieved on your own or with a few other players the main negative about this game is the A.I. is can be Silly at times, it was still fun regardless.Picked this up for 3.95 but since I played it I would of paid 15$ maximum, and Thanks to the Developers at Splash Damage for the fun and memorable time I had with this game.
