If your idea of playing video games is to be entertained and have fun, you are doing yourself a disservice by not picking this game up. I have played many games over nearly every video game system ever made, and I am confident to say that this is one of the most fun games I have ever played, EVER. While I would not be saddened if there was not a sequel made, I would be saddened if the people who made this game didn’t work on new projects and make another game as fun as this.Pros: Incredibly fun game play, some really humorous parts, gun variety, very satisfying combatCons: The story, often distasteful humor5/5 Fun (6 out of 5 if I could give it)4/5 overall for the story or lack thereof

Bulletstorm is a fun game for the short time it lasts, but it really doesn’t bring anything new or inspiring to the table. The combat is fluid, the graphics are beautiful, and the sound is really well done. The story is your typical betrayal/revenge deal, but the main point of the game is to massacre everything from point A to point B for about 8 hours. Stringing together combos and using the environment to kill your enemies is fun for a while, and there are a wide variety of ways to do this, but I eventually just kept using the same simple combos over and over. Those who are offended by harsh language and exploding/maimed/dismembered bodies need not apply, as the game contains a lot of both. I didn’t get a chance to play the multiplayer/co-op so those modes did not hurt or help my score of the game. People that live and breathe FPS should check the game out, everyone else should get the game on the cheap if they’re on the fence. All in all, a fairly good game that I would like to see more from in the future.

Instead of reviewing this game on the simple story, sound, graphics, gameplay criteria I will instead review this game based on what it’s advertised as being. I find that to be a more realistic scale than comparing every game to each other. Instead I’ll just tell you what Bulletstorm delivers from what it promises. The quoted statements below will be comments Epic Games put out to advertise why people should buy Bulletstorm.”Incredible New “Skillshot” System – Combine outrageous gunplay with Bullet storm’s unique kick, slide and leash mechanics as you kill with skill. Every enemy presents a new opportunity for stylish, over-the-top and ever increasingly bloody ways to take them down.”10/10 The skillshot system is everything promised in the advertising and more. It is fun, it encourages fun strategy and is awesome to watch. Basically what this is is when you kill an enemy in a creative way you get more skill points to use for buying guns, ammo, upgrades, and buying new guns. So as you play you find that kicking an enemy into a giant cactus, throwing them off a cliff, or shooting them in the butt is much more cost effective than playing this like a standard FPS and just shooting from cover. Bulletstorm is also kind enough to have a data chart showing you which attack you have done and which ones you haven’t so you can focus on new ones. It works wonderfully at encouraging players to develop new playing styles and experiment with new strategies, where so many other FPS’s discour.

Didn’t like the demo when it first came out – but glad I gave it another chance a couple years later. Absolutely love everything about this game. The soundtrack is wonderful, the dialogue is funny, the characters are great, the gameplay is smooth and exciting, the visuals are nice and the campaign is solid. Playing through it a second time, and may go a third round because it’s just that good!Should’ve gotten more attention and respect when it came out. It’s a shame how we choose to try/play/purchase games according to what we see and think it’s like instead of giving games a fair chance most of the time. Totally worth the purchase. Online MP is fun, but just wish there were a team deathmatch or something added.

Bulletstorm is a one of those popcorn action flicks that you watch on your television. You play a space mercenary who wants revenge on a corrupted general and crash landed onto an abandon planet filled with crazy mutant bandits, aggressive creatures, and a giant wheel of death. the goal is to escape the planet, while getting your revenge by using a variety of different weapons and a high tech like glove that can pull your enemies in and you can whatever you to the enemy.Like I said before, it’s like a popcorn flick movie and you’re badass mercenary.

Wow, what a game! Let me begin by saying that I’m a huge fan of Gears so the main reason I picked this game up is due to Gears 3 MP Beta that was included. I was in for a huge surprise when I found out that Bulletstorm is a superb game in its own right and is certainly worth $60 in my book on it’s own.I’ve been playing video games for ages and shooters in particular since the days of Doom and Heretic. This is my favorite genre and lately the shooter games have been growing more and more dull (yes, I’m looking at you, CoD franchise). Bulletstorm gives the FPS genre a much needed kick in the errr knees!Ok, so perhaps Bulletstorm’s humor is rather crude. Yep, I’ll agree with that… however, in my humble opinion it’s not as bad as some of the reviewers have been saying it is. That’s pretty much the only negative I have to say about the game though. The single player campaign is a roller coaster ride that starts off a little slow, picks up speed quickly and never slows down for the duration of the game.I don’t particularly care about the lack of competitive multiplayer in the game. Gears 2 will hold me over in that department until Gears 3. The single player is so good, I’m pretty sure I’ll be replaying it a number of times. Same with Echoes… something super addictive about trying to maximise your points as you find better and better combos. The sheer variety of kills in the game is amazing and vast majority of them are fun to pull off. I highly recommend this to anyone who has.
