Darkwatch is an unbelievable game. The game is so good, I hope they defenitley come out with another one in the future. The first thing I’m gunna tell you about is the story line….. Welcome to the Wild West, circa 1876. You are Jericho Cross, seasoned outlaw. Looking for a big score, you raid a secret treasure train. Unknown to you, this train belongs to the Darkwatch, an ancient organization committed to defeating supernatural evils. The cargo of this train is not money or jewels, but a captured vampire lord being transported to the Darkwatch citadel for interrogation. You blow open what you think is the treasure vault on the train, only to release the oldest and most powerful creature of its kind. Perhaps from perverse gratitude, this vampire doesn’t kill you. He just bites you, so you slowly turn into a vampire yourself. With growing supernatural powers, you hunt Lazuras , the vampire that bit you. If you gun him down before the curse overcomes you completely, you might win back your soul. If you fail, you will be damned to walk the earth as a vampire, having condemned the West to despair under the rule of evil incarnate. The gameplay is great. It is a first person shooter and there are great weapons. Ther is the redeemer revolver which has a knife on the bottom of the handle. On all the weapons is a melee weapon that you can use. There are the warmaker pistols which have blades on the handles. There is the blackfish carbine which is like a rifle, it is probly one of.

I first saw Darkwatch at an electronics convention in New York City and immediately fell in love. After completing the single-player campaign in Halo 2, I shifted gears to Darkwatch. Where Halo is basically every military science fiction trope (Starship Troopers, Aliens, Predator, Space: Above and Beyond, and Battlestar Galactica to name a few), Darkwatch sets out to create its own genre. And that genre is Wild West Horror.Darkwatch draws on two sources for inspiration: Deadlands, the pen-and-paper role-playing game, and Pale Rider, a Clint Eastwood Western. Deadlands first combined Victorian gothic horror with Wild West sensibilities, creating a wacky combination of gore and grit. Pale Rider established the notion of a supernatural hero in a Wild West setting. The Darkwatch is a secret organization similar to the one depicted in Van Helsing with access to advanced technology dedicated to keeping supernatural villains under control.Darkwatch follows the twisted life and death of Jericho Cross, a train robber who decides to rob the wrong train. He unwittingly unleashes Lazarus, an ancient vampire, and thus brings about hell on Earth. For reasons we don’t ever fully understand, Lazarus turns Jericho into a vampire. And thus, Jericho has all the cool traits of a vampire, from drinking blood to “blood vision” that allows him to pick out living auras. What ensues is a visceral shoot-em-up. You can shoot enemies heads off their bodies with a six-gun (called a Redeemer), blow of.

In Darkwatch you are Jericho Cross. A hybrid between vampire horror and Western shoot-em up. If you’re looking for a first person shooter, Darkwatch is the game fore you.Capcom offers intense gameplay and presents a original excellent presentation of new characters. It’s refreshing to see a first person shooter with a theme that isn’t played out which makes it well worth checking out.Jericho Cross hardly does the talking. Others speak for him while he jumps and robs trains.By mistake you release the soul of Satan’s son, Lazarus, who curses you to a vampire. He unleashes his undead minions to plague the old west. The only organization that can stop him is a secret army called the Darkwatch. Cassidy, one of the army’s “regulators” witnesses what you did on the train. You’ll spend the beginning of the game by her side, as she leads you back to the safety of Darkwatch. You begin to understand the new powers you have as a vampire. You’ll of course have access to a variety of different weapons, ranging from pistols and rifles to my personal favorite the exploding crossbow and a rocket launcher. Each gun offers different strengths and weaknesses, and each one is fun to use in its own way. Since the enemies in Darkwatch take location-based damage, it’s possible to blow off the heads and limbs of most enemies with the more powerful guns. Each gun also offers you a powerful melee attack, and the weaker enemies in the game will actually go down with just one satisfying strike. The power of.

Darkwatch : Curse Of The West combines both the horror and western genre with a first person shooter aspect to gives players some very intense eye catching gaming action. The fast paced gameplay offered in Darkwatch is a fresh and crisp appeal, quickly bringing the player into the feel of a true western environment .You take on the role of Jericho Cross, an outlaw train robber who makes the mistake of trying to rob the wrong train, a Darkwatch train. His actions release all hell and havok as he blows open the safe releasing the son of Satan, Lazarus. Lazarus in turn curses Jericho as a vampire and unleashes an army of the undead. You now must journey into the west trying to win back your soul in a battle against yourself and the diminions of hell along with the spirit of the former regulator Cassidy by your side guiding you thru the different western terrains as you venture to the Darkwatch headquarters. Darkwatch is a secret mysterious society that has been protecting all of civilization from the evil’s of hell since the dawn of time. Clay Cartwright rushes you in as you endure some physical battles to prove yourself worthy in order to become the newest Darkwatch agent. It is up to you to now stop Lazarus & his hoard of evil undead, if you fail then you must walk the earth as another one of Lazarus’s damned, however if you succeed then you will win back your soul. You will come across such enemies as; scythe and gun-wielding skeletons, floating banshees, shadow hiding vipers.

It is more a vampire game. Very unique game. It also have multiplayer option where we can hunt down each other and kill him. It’s a great game.

The good; This is a fun little game. Dark and disturbing visuals, dripping with atmosphere, general tone and smooth as silk game play are the highlights of this game. The enemy AI is competent enough, generally dodging and making themselves harder to hit.The bad;Its extreme linearity. Although you can play though the game as straight up good, evil or a mix of both and with two different endings (if played with a mix of light and dark side powers, the ending will be the alignment you are closest to), there are no branching paths, no opportunities to take different routes through the game (later on you can choose the order you play some of the missions in, but starting points and enemy spawn locations don’t change so in the end it’s still the same thing) had this been randomized a bit, it would not be so bad. By the second play-through, you know exactly where the enemies are going to pop up, how many, and what kinds. This will make a second game boring and hard to sit through for many. There are some unlockables worth mentioning, namely art and character concepts but nothing more. Is this game worth getting? Yes. Is it worth more than 20 bucks? No.This is one of those games that you complete once, put it back in your collection for a while and don’t touch again till you feel the itch for some horror-western-vampire action. An excellent companion to Red Dead Redemption’s Undead Nightmare and a good addition to anyone’s library of games.

The game came perfectly sealed and very new looking for a used game, came well before it’s original date, very good way to start my night. Will order future stuff from this shop

It was a long wait and a lot of extensions to the original release date, but Darkwatch is now readily available on the Xbox platform. How does it live up to the hype? Pretty well.First of all, this game is in a shooter-genre all of its own. The setting is the Wild West, but with a spin, vampires and undead. If any other games have tried this, I haven’t seen them. It really is a refreshing setting and helps to make Darkwatch feel fresh while in reality it is just any other shooter. As a shooter the game delivers fun gameplay, but nothing stellar, and no real moments that made you say wow – like the dual weild in Halo2 for example. The controls are fluid (as others have mentioned if you are familiar with Halo and Halo2, you will want to use the Cheifton controller configuration right from the get go) but occasionally I found that the charachter just didn’t always turn when I told him to, especially when taking damage. This was rare, but odd. In addition, his ability to fan the hammer on his revolver for rapid fire didn’t always work by holding the fire button down the first time, and I had to release the button and hold it again. So far, those are the only glitches I’ve noted. The maps are actually very small and/or linear and you are limited in where you can run (and thus, your strategy is limited). You have the added ability to lean from side to side, and while I haven’t noticed much of a difference using this ability, it could prove helpful. The appearance/mood/setti.
