Play only when you have hours to kill or just plain out of a job. Very engaging, good story and great graphics.

So far I have purchased SSF4, Ridge Race, Nintendogs and this DOA dimension. Have to say DOA is the best. Although being a terrible player for FTG, I ordered DOA for the reason that there was almost no new games on 3ds for the last 2 months(Nintendo, what happened?). However, I was surpised after playing this one for half an hour. Its graphic is much better than RR, and compared to SSF4, which is delicate but more likely playing the game in a box, DOA’s 3D effect is more vivid. After each battle, if you use Kasumi, you can see her arm reaching out of the screen like real. The difficulty is just right for me, and the story mode is much fun. Also the hints are very sweet.Pro:Great GraphicWonderful 3dNice hint systemGood storyCon:Instead of CG, it uses a lot static picture, which is the biggest drawbackThe hair……Anyway, strongly recommend. Team Ninjia, good job!

I’m a huge fan of the DOA series with the Dreamcast version being my favorite up until I got the 3DS version. The 3DS is a complete DOA experience. The story is great and fills in the blanks from the other incarnations that consisted of little more than unexplained and very short cutscenes. While the latest Xbox 360 offering is very pretty and basically a good fighter it’s no where near as good as the 3DS version. Obviously the 360 has incredible graphics and the new artwork is sublime but it still falls short compared to this gem of a DOA package, and I’m still some what in disbelief that I’m saying that but it is true.I don’t see any real cons in this game unless you don’t like handheld games or fighting games, in which case you wouldn’t pick this up anyway so I will just give the reasons why I think you might like this game.Graphics: Excellent on 2D and pretty good in 3D. The 3D takes a cut in overall smoothness but you’ll find yourself flipping back and forth between the two and the cut-scenes in Chronicle are fun to watch in 3D. Some people won’t like the “motion comic” aspect of some of the cut scenes but there aren’t too many of those and I don’t think they took anything away from the game. Overall this game takes full advantage of this little machines power so expect good action and lots of eye candy.Controls: Controls are excellent and easy with the 3DS using it’s bottom screen to show you your characters various moves and combos while you play! In this the 3DS cannot.

The gameplay is almost identical to other games in the series. In that regard, if you have played any of the others you know exactly what you’re getting into.I docked a star since the costume DLC is no longer available and there seems to be no way to get it.

First of all, I love retrolio’s same day delivery! Amazing to receive it same day to get a start on it.DoAD is an awesome edition to the Dead or Alive series. I’ve been a huge fan since the beginning of the DOA series. The 3DS edition is by far the heftiest version in terms of added gameplay. From Tag Challanges, Arcade, the new Chronicle mode, Verses (Online&Local!),Survival, to the showcase, street pass, spot pass (receive free items from Tecmo!!) and taking pictures of figurines you’ll collect in 3D.If you’ve been a fan since beginning too, you’ll instantly recognize alot of the cutscenes that are in the new Chronicle mode. I was very very happy to see them again, giving me great nostalgia of the good ol days. The cutscenes are shared along with the in-game graphic (which are beautiful 3DS graphics) cutscenes as well that move along the story, however, for whatever reason by Tecmo, are very static. I really don’t mind this, but it would of been nice to see a little more interaction by the characters. The fmv cutscenes more than make up for this, in my opinion, because I couldnt get enough of how much they were putting into this from the previous series. Again, if you’ve been a huge fan as I have, you’ll instantly recognize every scene being played out from the previous games.Internet is where its at ofcourse, taking your skills online. I’ve had a great experience, mainly lag free, but I have had instances where there was lag to heavy lag, however we can’t always expect perfec.

It is a great game but it has a short story line. Other than that the fighting is awesome. Have Fun!!!!

What a game!! Let me start off by saying that anyone familiar with the DOA series will want to know, are the "endowments", "physics", and "large appointments" in tact? In case I’m not clear, the game does have partial nudity, so……Yes!!!!! Yes, it is in 3D.There are many aspects to this game. The first thing is that the graphics are amazing, almost like an Xbox game. The backgrounds are detailed, with snow sometimes. There is also electricity too. The backgrounds are interactive too, with rooftops, doors, windows, glass, and icicles to break and fall through. When a body is thrown or falls to the ground, it cracks underneath the fallen opponent. The music is good, and the sound effects are perfect. There are voices, but it’s not in sync with their lips. I think it’s because it was made for Japanese words, bit it doesn’t take away from the game. Fighting is intricate, with throws, counters, and blocks to master. Most games have a button for punch, kick, throw, and block. DOA dimensions has that, but on a much deeper scale. You can combine arrows with the control pad, diagonals, half circles, hold arrows and even quarter circles! Some throws can be combined with other throws to string together awesome combos, but with certain characters. Counters can be done with timing, and holding buttons too. Fighting arenas are multi-tiered. One minute you’ll be fighting on a rooftop, then end up on the ground the next minute. Foes can also be thrown into walls, sh.
