Classic game I played when I was a kid! F course it’s ps1 so expect tank controls .i recommend playing on ps1 or ps2 system .audio quality will be significantly reduced on current gen platforms.

Deathtrap Dungeon is a simple game: enter the dungeon and survive. Once people realize that, it is a lot more fun. This is a dungeon crawl. In other words, you explore a dungeon while killing monsters, collecting items, and solving puzzles. The “plot” is simple. A powerful magician has a nasty dungeon and he allows heroes a chance at cracking it once a year. You get to choose one of two characters, a brawny male warrior or a scantily-clad female warrior. You then enter the dungeon and start hacking away. The playing system is rather nice. Play will actually pause as you toggle through equipment menus to get just the right spell or object for a battle. The monsters are nasty and the graphics are, well, graphic. Watch the heads fly or the monsters get squashed and you will see what I mean.I find this a level above a shooter as there are more puzzles than in an average shooter. There is less development than a role-playing game. I do find it a useful stress reliever at the end of the day.If you like dungeon crawls, then this is a good game. If you don’t like dungeon crawls then you will probably not like this one.

I’ve played this game when I first got the Playstation around the year of 1997. First Mature rated game and after all of these years I return back to the dungeon to claim victory. Luckily, I did. Deathtrap Dungeon is not for the gamer who is use to FPS, Fighters or 3D Games that runs on the Quake Engine. This game is for collector’s of games when they were in the early stages of become Platinum Hits in the world of gaming as of today. The game works fine but, keep in mind that when you order this game get ready for a journey and one heck of a challenge. Its not hard but, this is a game that you really need patience with.

Deathtrap Dungeon is one of the more difficult games I have played, but damn, it is really fun. Graphics are decent for the time that the game released, a pretty tough game, even with cheat codes.

If you love castles, goblins, monsters demon vixens and skeletons swinging swords this game is for you. I thought the graphics were excellent and solving the levels wasn,t difficult. Some may fine the dismemberments a little to gross, but my kids enjoyed it.

First off let me say I really like Deathtrap Dungeon and after it’s six months of release it quickly became a $29.99 game. But so was Pandemonium in that cost factor and look at the classic it became.I think if Eidos focused really hard they could have released Deathtrap Dungeon as a series like Tomb Raider.I just saw a lot of open potential for Deathtrap Dungeon. If you played this game before seriously imagine what it would have been like in first person view. Many different kinds of monsters to fight.Plenty of puzzles to solve, magic spells, and decent weapons.Great camera angles especially at high up/multiple floor places (plenty of that).Slicing legs and limbs off your enemies with the vicious authority of a chainsaw…watch ’em fly and rebound off the walls.Creative level design with light sourcing and positive use of color.Believe me this is no short game. The game wasn’t perfect as far as controls but neither was Resident Evil you either smile on the late 90’s games or you don’t.5-stars!
