Your Shape is my favorite of the three XBox exercise games that I own. There is lots of variety, a good level of intensity (I’ve always exercised regularly and am in pretty good shape, and I get a great work-out from this game), and I love the tracking where you see your entire body on the screen right next to the trainer, so you can really evaluate how well you are doing. Your Shape has the most specific feedback on how to improve your performance on the exercises- I actually find the trainer comments to be very helpful, not annoying as they often are in the other programs, and I can use them to quickly improve how I am doing each exercise. It really is like having your own personal trainer. The trainer sets a good pace for the work-out and is easy to stay in rhythm with. I find these trainers to be the easiest to follow along with of the three exercise games I have (Your Shape, EA Sports Active, and UFC Personal Trainer). I also find this to be the most accurate in sensing my movements correctly, with no problems whatsoever in a a fairlay small work-out space (about seven or eight feet from the sensore to the wall). I like how the game keeps track of my progress, and has lots of choices for each work-out- even in personal trainer mode, you can choose to do your pre-set workout, or you can pick something different each time. I especially enjoy the Michelle Bridges workout programs. Other personal trainer choices include cardio, toning, and programs by other fitness experts..

I played a few things. Though you have to pay for the dancing part and that is rather disappointing. It seems okay but it kept unsyncing me with the trainer even though i was doing what she was doing. It could use some improvements.

When looking for a workout game for my Kinect I was trying to decide between Your Shape and Biggest Loser. I went back and forth and back forth, then finally I chose Your Shape. I DO NOT REGRET my deicsion AT ALL!!! It took me a while to get the hand movement thing down, but after that, I have had nothing but FUN!!! The only reason I am gave it four stars instead of 5 is there is no way to leave or end the game (well at least I have not discovered how yet!). So I am not sure if I am exiting the game correctly. The first time I played (see I call it playing not a workout), I did so for about an hour and a half. After about 24 hours, I started to feel the soreness that is associated with working out, but I loved it. Like they say No PAIN, No GAIN!. Will be looking for another on to compliment this one.

+ gives a good workout, there are a lot of different choices. I have done cardio kickboxing, zen, cardio workouts and a Nivea total body workout.+unlike the Biggest Loser (which I do also enjoy) this one automatically pauses if you step out of the play s

Don’t be fooled – this is much more than just another ‘game’. I was shocked that an Xbox ‘game’ could be done at this level.I was expecting this to be more of a interesting curiosity, not expecting much more than that. Instead I found a brilliantly created module with meditations and games that compliment each other beautifully, really giving me an experience of strengthening my energy and the way I relate/connect with each of my chakras. There are games and meditations that correspond to each of the main chakras. I have found that by doing at least one of the meditations (5 min or so) before playing one of the corresponding games makes a difference in the quality and value I get out of playing the game portion. Try it out, and enjoy! Thank you, Deepak Chopra, this is perhaps the most amazing creations you’ve given us.

OOoooohh Where have you been all my life?! This program kicked my butt in one work out! Let’s just say I have a 3 year old, 2 year old, and an almost 4 month old….. I’ve been busy in the last few years and gotten waaaay out of shape! This farm girl needed to feel the burn… and not hurt herself…… so…. I cautiously ordered this thinking it would be good, but NOT THIS GOOD! I am VERY impressed. I’m not a big video game person, so I am waaay impressed with what technology has done since I’ve been preoccupied with college and kids! And the best part is….. I get a personal trainer and don’t have to leave my house, pay a gym membership, or hire a sitter! ONE HOT MAMA here I come!

I ordered this with one day shipping and it came in one day.I love the wide variety of choices when it comes to choosing a workout and the interactive session to place the player at the right level was almost spot-on. I say “almost” because I was rated too low in a couple of areas due to my inability to stay in rhythm with the instructor – bad knee. That’s the one “con”. It does not allow for being out of sync and if you ARE out of sync, it assumes that is because you need more work in that area. In truth, I doubt I should be doing lunges. It would be great if later versions accounted for things like a bad knee, shoulder, back…Other than that, I really love working out with Your Shape Fitness Evolved. From serious cardio to playful fitness, this Kinect game is almost as addictive as RPG’s (I love RPGs).I’m meeting the goals the game sets for me and am looking forward to connecting to Xbox Live and competing with friends and family!By the way, I’m forty years old and just getting back into a fitness routine. I recommend Your Shape Fitness Evolved to those of all ages!

I was surprised with how difficult this game was. I was also pretty out of shape when I first played with this game. Only major complaint I have is the body tracking. It can be very unforgiving and if your lunges, for example, don’t go down deep enough, Kinect won’t count them. It adds more effort to the experience and can lead to a little frustration when fatigued. Overall a cool experience.

I’m probably the target audience for this “game”. Late 30s mom, only slightly over-weight but not “fit”. I ordered this at the time same time as I ordered the Kinect, choosing this one of the various fitness games for kinect based on reviews. I haven’t had any problems with tracking or accuracy. I think that part of the experience is highly variable, based on your environment and set-up. I’m definitely getting a good “real” workout.I set my personal trainer to “break a sweat”, and it wasn’t bad, although I was disappointed when I discovered it wasn’t going to vary as I progressed. Then, the free Nivea Toning with Sarah Marshall download was made available, which uses free weights, and it’s perfect for me. I do that one every other day, because of the weights, but I do *something* every day. I like the ability to mix it up and the short “classes” give me enough variety – and it’s fun enough I’ll repeat “one more time, it’s just 10 minutes …” I like the cardio kick boxing classes, and just started the bollywood dance workout, although there is a small fee for that one. (It’s $2 right now.) I’m not a fan of the zen classes, although I have done them a few times. I think downloads are key – if you don’t have xbox live, you may not get much more out of this than a dvd. Also, as compared to a dvd, if you want to go hard for a long time – no breaks aka “circuit training” and no time to navigate menus long enough to select “repeat” – Your Shape Fitness may not be for you. But I am v.
