I have and use a number of workout “games” across both the PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms, including EA Sports Active 2 for the PS3, The Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout for the Xbox 360, and Your Shape Fitness Evolved for the Xbox 360.In my opinion, of the three, this game provides the most accurate feedback, coupled with challenging exercises. It is imperfect but better than the other two games of this genre that I’ve tried.I may not be completely familiar with it yet; however, it doesn’t have the strict workout regimen offerings that EA Sports Active for the PS3 and The Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout for the Xbox 360 have. I prefer to provide my physical characteristics and fitness goals and have the application build a recommended workout regimen for me; near as I can tell, this game doesn’t offer that functionality. I certainly wish it did. Consequently, you wind up building your workouts in a sort of haphazard fashion, using Fitness Classes and Routines as you see fit. This minor issue is almost completely overshadowed by the accuracy of the detection which results in very few “misses”, something I found especially frustrating in The Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout for the Xbox 360 and somewhat annoying, though markedly less so than The Biggest Loser, in EA Sports Active for the PS3.All in all, I highly recommend this game if you’re looking for a console-based workout program.

First off, if you are at all interested in the topics that this title addresses (Meditation practices) then go out and buy it. It’s well worth it. The graphics are good, the sensitivity of the game to the Kinect is wonderful and the music works well. Plus the tutorials really help a person learn about these things. Far and away the best thing short of having a human being helping you with these things. There is one little thing though that makes me deduct a star from the overall score though. The interface requires you to select buttons on the screen – and I think that they are just a tad to small and the game makes it just a tad too hard to select them. If that were fixed then this would be a 5/5 stars.

For me even with my bad knees this workout/game (for lack of a better word) works for me. I have no cartlidge left in either knee for various reasons but somehow with just a small break in between I can do the routines. Awesome workout but that’s me everyone is different.

I received Fitness Evolved today, so I haven’t had much time to play with it, but so far, it’s kicking my butt.Firstly, it’s one of the best demonstration of what Kinect is capable of, especially when compared to say EA Sports 2 (their avatar usually lags significantly behind your actual motions). I don’t look nearly as good as I thought I would on screen, but I do like seeing myself, since I don’t have mirrors to see what I’m doing.I probably need to play around with the settings more, but I’m getting frustrated with the lack of control. I inputted that I’m a couch potato and selected the “slow and easy” workout, but it wound up being a ridiculously long, 5-part workout. I’ve had to pause it twice and I’m barely halfway through it. Fortunately, I can take a break and pick it back up minutes, hours, or possibly days later, if I don’t exit. I still wish there was an easy/obvious way to specify length, assuming there is one. Ideally, I’d like to select the exact routines and length, and if that’s actually possible, I will give it the full 5 stars. The exercises themselves are a lot easier, and more familiar to me, than some of the stuff on EA Sports 2. Most remind me of my step aerobics classes back in college…a long time ago. The swats on EA Sports 2 made muscles hurt that I’ve never felt before….I did admit I’ve been sedentary, plus I’ve never been an athlete. Combined, I think these two will whip me into shape, but if I had to pick one, I’d choose EA Sports 2, simply due.

This “game’ is nothing short of amazing. If you can ignore the announcer telling you you are not in rhythm and do your best to follow the trainer and stay in rhythm this will change your life. There is tons of variety in the classes. The cardio boxing rocks! Buy some 3 pound and 5 pound weights to add challenge to the cardio classes and they are a must for the toning classes.P.S. I went to the doctor one week ago and weighed in at 300 pounds and have routinely taken anti-depressants. By using this game and eating better I have noticed an immediate change in all areas of my life. Stop the madness America!!!!!!

There have already been a number of positive reviews so I just wanted to add mine to that list…Why I purchased this game:As an excuse to get myself and my wife a bit more active and into a habit of doing work outs. The plan was to use it as a tool to get in a routine and expand that routine outside of the “game”How long I’ve had it:2 weeks nowExperience thus far:Not that I needed a reminder that I was getting out of shape but a quick tour through the toning exercises confirmed that for sure. I’m not overweight but I could be in better shape and my legs definitely noticed the added squats and lunges to their daily routine. The cardio boxing has been enjoyable too. They make you work your way up through Bronze, Silver, etc… starts off slow and then as you get faster more and more balance comes into play. Most good physical trainers will have you work on balance too so I was happy to see the routines encompass that. The ability to buy new classes with MS Points shouldn’t have surprised me but I hadn’t read about it or forgotten and was happy to see that the game can be expanded upon later on. There is also the “uplay” challenges from Ubisoft to unlock additional content.I’ve had great luck with the sensor picking me up and it’s considerably more accurate in this game than the Kinect Adventures that ships with the connect. I am about 8 ft from my TV so it helps that I have a large play space. The cat can walk across the floor while one of us is doing a training class and it d.

This game has been awesome!! As a previous fitness trainer at Ballys Total Fitness years ago. I fell off the wagon a bit and gained some nasty weight. Changed my eating habbits and lost some but couldnt get motivated to get back working out, be it at the gym or even in my own garage with a full workout area. This game got me back in the game of it all and is AWESOME in so many ways. First its got a few gym games to play alone or with other, but thats not its main treat. You can choose from a massive amount of personal training session from beginner to advanced and from cadio stuff, to some weights (have light dumbells available). When you do you workout it verbally corrects you if your not moving the right way and tell you what to fix, A MUST for those beginners out there who need the baby steps! It ALSO, besides that had fitness classes from zen (think TaiChi) to Boxing, (and others for d/load).. The variety in this game is huge and enough to keep you coming back for days & weeks! The BIG thing is that it tracks your progess in game on calories burned and even via their own web site!! Linked in there you can create custom goals and challenges for yourself and your other xbox friends! This is great for those that have never worked out or done a cario class and those advanced! A must have fo those looking to stay in shape of those wishing to shed a few pounds, plus its damn fun!

Leela is a mixed bag but not a bad one. It depends on what you are looking for. It could be better in many ways but I applaud it as one of the first dedicated uses of the XBOX kinect to enhance spiritual practice. I hope that others follow and use this platform for interactive guided meditation as well as disciplines like Qi Gong, Tai Chi, Reiki and other healing forms of body work. The first thing you need to know about this program is that it has three major sections. After you create a personal mandala (you don’t have a full creative palette here and it is hard to make the game freeze on the exact shape you want), you are invited to either PLAY or REFLECT. If you want to relax do not enter PLAY. All of the “games” listed under the chakras will quickly tense up the part of the body required to move the game pieces and as you go up in level produce more and more adrenalin. One section, the one on INTUITION reminded me a lot of the tunnels in Mizuguchi’s “Eden” and blasting rocks and gems in the POWER section did not connect me with my personal power, only my rail shooter skills. Still, this has to sell as a game and the games in this section are reasonably fun if not spiritually enhancing. As noted the games are fun, but for those of you who own Chopra’s Wild Divine or Journey, this game does not contain anything like those calming visualizations and does not allow you to control the game via relaxation and breathing techniques. Beyond knowing what your chakras are and what th.

Very relaxing game and has beautiful graphics. Love coming home from a stressful day to play this game. You can do movements or be still and enjoy it.
