A lot of discussion around this game has revolved around it’s difficulty. And while it does present the sort of challenge you’d expect from From Software, there is far more to Sekiro than “git gud”. For starters, the developers have created a gorgeous world for us to traverse. Although its more real-world take lacks the variety of areas seen in Dark Souls or Bloodborne, we still get to clamber through blood-soaked battlefields, burning villages, lush forests, steep mountain passes and much more. The sound design is also incredibly satisfying. The music is once again superb, hitting that sweet spot between exhilarating and sublime; and the sound of swords clashing together when you hit that critical deflect never fails to excite. And this brings us to the combat. It’s hard. You will die, and die, and die again until you’re able to learn timings to hit every deflect and learn when to dodge or jump. With an array of tools at your disposal, there is always going to be a strategy that works for you. And when you find it, the combat flows together seamlessly. Then you get to a boss and have to learn this all over again.Arguably From Software’s best game to date, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the kind of ruthless challenge and thoughtful outing you’d expect from the developer that never loses its edge.

Game is very tough, but very rewarding. Combat and lure is great.

Not one for the faint hearted, this game takes patience, quick reactions and a lot of trial and error, but I did thoroughly enjoy playing it. Not only are the mechanics themselves great, but add onto that an intriguing story, stunning landscapes and some intense boss fights, and you get an experience not to be missed for players who enjoy hard-as-nails games. My only problem with the game itself was the camera tracking, as in some boss fights within confined spaces it became stuck, losing the enemy I was fighting and causing me to take damage, which can get really annoying when it’s not you but the game that’s at fault. However this only happened in a few specific settings, and did not affect the majority of the game.Overall I still think Sekiro is a fantastic experience, and if you’re up for the challenge is definitely worth a play through.

Very similar to Nioh in terms of scenery and unforgiving combat. That being said, if you are a casual gamer, Nioh will offer more entertainment and is more forgiving. In Nioh you can upgrade armor and get stronger. This one not so much. Get a sword and study enemy moves alot cause that’s all you gonna get. Yeah you got a switchable arm but that helps in some cases but its really how you dance with your sword and when you strike. BTW do not throw your controller nor get angry, its just a darned game. I’ve seen youtube videos of grown a&* men throwing tantrums , smashing expensive equipment not just controllers but keyboards and HD Tv’s. Don’t be that stupid please.

Sooo sad people give it a bad review because they didnt see immediate results ! If you cant take a beating and get back up this game aint for you period!!!! From software made this beautiful game and the mechanics are nothing any gamer was use to so everybody had to relearn and train your brain you actually have to work for it , the feeling of winning is so amazing compared to any other game . BTW name a samurai or ninja or even a batman that didnt have to train and learn how to be the best !!!?!?!?! People are getting weaker so sad take my advice dont get mad you died get mad cause u didnt get further than your last try !! Amazing game from soft please make another and make it harder the difference between the good reviews and bad reviews is the difference between lions and sheep !!!
