Disgea it’s a great game just totally addictive and fun all I’ve been doing is grinding and apparently that’s all there is to the game

I am new to the Disgaea titles and I have to say that it’s a fun Strategy RPG.The best part about this game is its sarcasm and humor. The level cap keeps this game from ending after the story does which creates a longer playability. If you haven’t played any of the previous Disgaea titles, the leveling is a bit slow at first until you reach a specific point in the story where you can “power level”. I had to look this part up on the good’ole internet. But once you figure it out, it’s a fun game.

Just like the original PS2 game! I’ve logged so many hours already on this game from the second I got it!

This game is, in essence, “Disgaea Hour of Dakrness” From the playstation 2 ported over to the Nintendo DS. While i always loved this game for its unique appeal and anti-hero cast, anyone who is looking to get the same experience as the original should be warned so they won’t be dissapointed:The graphics have been reduced from their original quality to something that the DS–with it’s relatively low capabilities–can render. It can even skip a few frames of display (aka. lag) in heavily crowded Item World Maps.Second, the game’s music, which was incredibly brilliant in the original has not been directly ported, it’s bitrate is now something like a hybrid between the venerable midi and a normal mp3. So it sounds dull by comparison.Thankfully a few features have been added to the game to make it more interesting, like new secret characters, levels and Etna mode (where you play through Etna’s campaign.)Overall the experience is very close to the original, even though I miss the great music a quite a bit. If you keep the above in mind your play through should be a good one.

They are loving it! There are four kids in the house and they have been playing the multi-player option (two at a time). It was a wonderful Christmas present.
John R. Harris –
Disgaea is an excellent game. The only drawback of the DS version is an inability to save mid-battle–which is an extraordinarily inconvenient failing in a portable title, as it makes the game difficult to play in short bursts.

Almost everything is the same. Except for one thing I noticed early on, the lack of voice acting for most of the game. You get the voices for the Next episodes at the end of the chapter and the start of the game, but after that, no more voices during the story scenes before battles. The voice was what really made me laugh and kept me playing the game on the ps2 before I got tired of all the level grinding in the item world.

Everything worked fine and on a timely manner

I’ve been told by a lot of people that Disgaea DS is older and what not – but I feel it’s still a lot of fun. A grinder’s favourite, this game goes on until you wanna stop – which isn’t all that often. With random-made item worlds you can always go to new places, and keeping track of all the Geo-panels is still just as fun as any other version of the game. For those who haven’t killed their DS yet, it’s a fun little portable game of awesomeness that you don’t have to bring around your expensive PSPs and things for.
