  1. Blast from the Past

Very addictive!! Brought this game on 4 different 5 hour plane flights and am still glued to this game!! Unlike a lot of the 3DS games that are either “battle” based or “design” based, this game does both. You battle through the different worlds and earn items that help you build furniture for your restaurant and character’s bedroom or clothes and costumes for your characters. If you only buy 2 games for the 3DS, buy this one and the original. They may be pricey, but the length of play makes this well worth the money. (HINT: This game gives you a bonus if you already have the original game.)

Awesome game that in my opinion has lots of fun upgrades compared to the first game. First thing I like is the outfits. To make an ace ensemble is not as hard as the first game as you don’t have to make everything separate. Example shoes, hats, outfit is made at the same time. Also, food seems to sell out faster at the cafe. New updated furniture at chip and dales. New worlds like little mermaids, frozen, and snow white. The wands are easier to make than it was in the first game. The balls are fun and better imo due to using the buttons vs the stylus. You get your own house this time vs upstairs from the cafe in the 1st game. You will collect puzzle pieces which is fun. New fish and fishing spots. You can visit Minnie at her business and update your look such as makeup, and hair. The loading time seems to take some time like when you enter or exit a world or cafe, but not that big of a deal. Overall I love the new upgrades and game. I’m hoping for a disney magical world 3 in the future.

If you liked the 1st game, this will be more of the same with a few new twists. The puzzles and dreams have replaced the collector cards. You can mine with the dwarfs and use those stones as forms of payment in some areas. The café is back, now with a stage and dance party. There is a lot of re-doing quests to get items you need, which becomes a bit tedious, but none of them take more than 15 minutes. Your fishing rod doesn’t scare away fish if you cast right on a fish, that’s an improvement! I’m nearing completion and it’s still holding my interest, but I don’t see myself playing it again. It has been a pretty fun 50+ hours though, not bad for the price. And it’s something my 5 year old daughter can help with. She’s in charge of fashion and dreams, I’m in charge of farming and quests.

I played the first one (bought the walmart exclusive 3DS design that came with the game) and didnt’ know the 2nd game came out until I saw it on sale for Black Friday. To my delight, the game made major improvements over the first iteration. Less grind and more fun. It is very addicting and a pure delight for Disney Fans, especially those who love Tokyo Disneyland. since it reminds me very much of it. I do wish the character worlds were larger though. Other than that and some frame rate issues within the cafe, I think this game is very enjoyable. 4.5/5 for a big disney fan like me.

I played a bit of this game and dang the tutorial part is long!!! I don’t remember it being that long in the 1st game. You have to meet all the main characters and then do stuff with them and they have a few catchphrases that they tend to repeat more than a few times. I just want to get into the game. >_< It’s just as cute as the 1st game though and there seems to be a bit more to do. You have your own house, apart from the cafe. It’s still one room though. I haven’t opened the cafe up yet.If you loved or even liked the 1st game, you’ll have no problems with this one. It’s pretty much the same stuff, just different worlds to explore. I only gave it 4 stars because the tutorial part seems unnecessarily long considering you’re doing the same stuff as you did in the 1st game. Get ace ensembles, greet everyone, gather materials, fish…etc… I still really like it though. Like I said, it’s just as cute as the 1st game.

I preordered the game and have been playing about 10 hours already since I got it yesterday! I loved the original game and was very excited to hear a 2nd one was coming out!I love how this game hits all the sweet spots. You can go through levels, collect items, grow crops, build furniture and clothing outfits, manage your own cafe with Disney themed food and decorations, fight ghosts/bosses, complete challenges. It has the causal aspect of Animal crossing along with more challenging quests of fighting monsters. I really like that things are always open vs in Animal crossing you have to wait for certain times to do things. The game seems pretty fast paced, lots of chains of quests and an order things need to be completed in. Its very addicting! Lots of improvements since the first one, including a bunch of new characters and 3 maps! (vs just 1 main map). There’s definitely lots to do!
