    Perfect

    Excellent!

Dragon Warrior 7 was my least favorite in the series. However, the 3DS remake is very enjoyable. It has nice graphics and storyline. The only negative is it does feel like it is pushing the limits of the system as the menus could load a little bit quicker. It’s not very noticeable though.

  4. Ryan

About 10 hours in and has been a very fun game.. bit of a slow start but nothing that is too hard to get through!.. have really enjoyed it and is a very classic style game reminiscent of the greats, Lufia, Chrono Trigger, early Final Fantasy… and of course still it’s own game style!Never played the original but can feel that this stays pretty true to turn based RPG games from the SNES and early Playstation era.

  5. Randy

Great and nostalgic, I loved the original and this does it justice.

Great game so glad I got it.

I’ve played the PS1 version almost 20 years ago and it’s probably one of my many favorite JRPG of all time. Now with the remake on the 3ds I’m excited to embark on the journey once again. I’ve played and beat the game a couple of weeks ago. This game reminded how good of a game Dragon Quest series are. Everything about this game is a lot better than the original. The gameplay, graphics, music and story are much better than I could remember about the original. I had a blast playing and spending tons of hours doing grinding, side-quest and exploration. The battle system on this game is a lot smoother and fun like DQVIII. This game took me back in the days where JRPG have so much depth in story and fun gameplay. It’s everything I could ever asked for, for an JRPG. I would highly recommend this game to classic JRPG fan or JRPG fan in general.

When this game originally released, I considered a game a good value if I could get one hour of of every dollar I paid for it. By that rationale, this game should be closing in on $120. Irregardless of my old teenager method of validating games, DQ7 is a FANTASTIC deal for the amount of content, and incredibly fun. It does have a bit of a slow start as some people have mentioned, but this remake drastically speeds up some sections of the game (such as the first starting area) by skipping a lot of the repetitiveness that was present in the original. The upgraded graphics make is feel/play more like DQ8 on the PS2, and features like the job system have been sped up a bit too (which is great if you remember the original and just want to play the game for a second time).DQ7 should be considered an essential addition to any 3DS RPG collection.

    Amazing!!!!

  10. Robert Penberthy

Love this game and so is my wife. Good story, interesting characters, etc. Played the original on the Playstation back in 2001. Loving that this has been updated and released on the 3ds.
