Pretty decent game, not going to blow your mind at this point but very cool. Kinda like GTA 5 just with cowboys and the wild west, and the same mechanics. The online is fun especially if you have a mic, while the story tends to be pretty dry except for the humor. Still fun to play imo
Love that both the regular game and zombie version is all included. Has a poker player slicky willy suit add on too. I think the controls on it was better on the xbox but either way I LOVE this game. In some ways the original was better but this ones superior. The original one felt like a Clint Eastwood Man with No Name movie and you got to play it. They even used the same music composer from those movies too. This one you can hunt animals, plants and people. Sell whatever you picked or hunted found. Buy housing or rent it out. Go do bounty hunter missions on the side, play games like Texas Hold Em and many other mini games. Even that knife game in the movie Aliens where you try not to stick yourself with a knife, and do a few side missions for other locals. GREAT game! I saw one guys review on how he had to chase chickens or something. Ummmm you have to help out this family who saved your ass from a bounty hunt gone wrong. From there you can stay and finish out that part of the games story line or go off and explore other towns and do s*** there too. You have to play it longer than one mission to get some enjoyment out of it. DUH!
Starts to get a bit long but wow
Pull on your denim, oil up your six shooter and shine your spur’s and prepare to get the boot of the man off your neck and protect what’s yours. Even if you aren’t a cowboy or a desperado and just looking for a great and different actionadventure gaming experience, then I’d recommend trying this out. It fully deserves the whole Game of the Year.I’d give it five stars, because I do love this game, but there are factors that keep it from having that polish.Worth buying, even if just for the DLC, as long as the price is less. I can finally get rid of my original copy.If you haven’t played this game, then you’re in luck. You missed some of the worst bugs (though it is still buggy). The bugs aren’t anything that makes things unplayable or loses you saved progress. Just remember this is a western and the journey is more important. These two factors could save you some disappointment down the long winding dusty trail.I wish choosing to play as a hero or as a villain had more consequence on the story.Sure the premise of the whole additional game with the undead is a bit off and it can become a grind, but it is a good edition and the other packs add to things to achieve.

This is a very good game. It has potential. The storyline isnt as exciting but good enough to play through. This is a somewhat western gta style. The games map is pretty big i believe its between texas/arizona and mexico somewhere within the border. I wont go through the games story but as far as ganeplay its very neat. the shooting mechanics are satisfying enough to want you to shoot everyone. The game fails to deliver at the same time due to one of the most annoying bugs in the game (this is where the game gets tough) the game is not hard but the bugs in the game is what makes the game hard. Theres been many points where I am stuck for a certain time in a mission because (the character you are with dies) when is it when a npc you are following dies with 1 shot? it becomes a huge drag where its obvious rockstar did not fix this glitch. I have found myself stuck in the game because of this. it ruins the gameplay a lot. the nission can start and the npc can get shot at the start and the game is over.. theres been many times where I die fron one bullet (invicibility is a cheat I recommend you to have in this game) even with the cheat off the cheat will deactivate within every cutscene and during your early gameplay you will often forget and you will die. I also want to include the most annoying glitch in the game.. The lasso of death. In many missions its required to capture a person or a horse with a lasso but guess what? the mission fails because you kill them with a lasso. T.

Great game. Purchased it for my son and he played the living daylights out of it. The game of theyear edition is a good buy since it has all the games downloads included in the price.
For me, it feels something like Bully, a Rockstar classic game, except it’s in the wild west & no kissing with girls. I struggled early on with the game, couldn’t get the hang of riding horses until much later & gun duels I didn’t get good at until I read from online forum posts and after I actually finished the main storyline. It’s a wonder I could ever get through it.But somehow, I actually enjoyed it and got addicted to it. It’s not as strong as Rockstar’s main game series, Grand Theft Auto, but it certainly has it’s charms despite the flaws. Hunting animals, gathering herbs, bounty hunting, treasure searching and then selling them is the game strongest selling point. Sure, it has storyline that makes you hooked and interesting, unusual characters but that’s Rockstar’s trademark in just about every game they make. It’s the little things that actually shine through this game. Like playing Blackjack, a mini-game available in the game, I actually got addicted to it eventhough I only made a few in-game bucks from it. That’s one example. Other things such as the unique encounters made the game feel like you’re really in the wild west – it can get annoyingly repetitive sometimes but you can choose to ignore it.And that’s only the main game – Undead Nightmare, the included companion single-player game, literally changed the wild west upside down and for me, unfortunately, it wasn’t enjoyable.In Undead Nightmare, the wild west is littered with zombies, insane folks and silly jokes.
It’s the first I’ve played of this genre, and got it based on overall reviews read at retrolio. I typically really like SP RPGs with good story lines and lots of options for character generation and development. This game has proven pretty interesting so far.

i love the games concept but finding the other dlcs as well as multiplayer in the game is a bit dissapointing. the multiplayer is only optional online, no cop-op. but its a decent game in its own, controls are a bit weird though so its difficult if you leave the game for a while then pick it back up and play it, like me.

my son absolutely loved the game this Edition comes with all the add-ons and all the extras. Honestly glad we found this game late has extended the life of the PlayStation 3 and our household even with a 4 sitting on the shelf

i admit i originally bought this game solely for the undead nightmare. my best friend and i are huge fans on just about everything zombie themed and i felt this was a must buy. having played the game for a few days now i feel its way more fun than any commercials lead on to. story driven, free roaming, and the random encounters are a nice change of pace from the standard ‘quest giver’ set up, by which i mean at any point in time bandits will raid a town, or attack a bar maid, rob a farmer on the side of the road and you can either choose to help them or go about your buisness. plus plenty of mini games and side missions when you feel like taking a break from the main plot. poker, black jack, horse shoes, bounty hunting, or put on a bandana and go pillage yourself. possibilities seem almost endless.

Great game! One of the best games I’ve ever played. Took a little to get used to the controls – but once I did I enjoyed many hours free roaming the west. And after you’ve beaten it you can play it again with zombies next! A lot harder for sure.
