If you are wanting it in pristine condition, don’t order it from retrolio!Mine came in a pouch with no protection. Corner was dented. Top was also creased.Actual product itself is quality. Controllers feel right. Have a nice weight to them and respond well. Comes with AC adapter (Take note Sony!). Presentation of the packaging is top notch.Didnt notice sound delays some reviews mention but its been years since i played original hardware. This release is a work of love for Sega. For cons, wish there were more display options. Save states could be timestamped to know which is more recent. Missed opportunity for Sega to have an online market place to buy additional roms. Obviously also missing the 6button controller but i get the atheistic they were going for a launch edition look.Honestly considering cancelling my TG-16 pre-order and buy elsewhere. retrolio needs to step up their product packaging

I would highly recommend this for oldschool gamers wanting that nostalgic gaming experience, or even new school gamers who haven’t been introduced to this classic gaming era giant.First of all this is an exact replica of the original 1st gen console with amazing attention to detail.Second, you can’t beat the value – over 40 classic games! (twice what you get with SNES classic system)Third, HDMI output with amazing emulation and customizable settings. It comes with USB controllers which could also be used for PC applications. You get 2 of the original design with red ink and 3 buttons. You can buy the 6 button USB controller for the mini which is great for fighting games. The game selection is incredible! Not only does it have some of my favorites like Castlevania Bloodlines and Altered Beast, but has introduced me some great games I never knew about like Thunder Force 3 – now one of my favorite shooters. If you want an emulation console with games pre loaded on it, don’t fall for one of the cheap imitation AT Games systems, get this authentic console made by SEGA!

I was in the 7th grade when the original Genesis came out and it was a gift from the Videogaming gods. Near arcade quality graphics in an affordable home console was unheard of at that time. It came with “Altered Beast” and I also had just enough money saved to get “Super Thunder Blade” and I’m glad I did because as good as AB is, it gets boring fairly quick because it’s so short.Anyway, on to the new mini console – SEGA did a GREAT job with the new console – terrific build quality, the controllers are top notch and they got the legendary Japanese developer M2 to do the emulation. They really went all out on this console and it shows. Great selection of games and they look and sound great. I’ve read there are some issues with the sound being off in certain games but I didn’t notice that all. Buy without hesitation. SEGA!

The Sega Mini is Awesome! Great games great attention to detail and what was not awesome was the way retrolio sent my system to me retrolio delivered mine in paper bag material without any cushioning inside. Resulting in my Sega mini box having some damage. Those of us getting our systems through retrolio if your box comes damaged we all need to say something because most of us are paying for prime and it’s just not right That they don’t care on how they ship their items when we as buyers/collectors care. That aside it’s awesome system lots of fun would recommend just watch how retrolio ships it to you.

This is the retro version of the third console I had. so yeah, a few memories here and there. I remember spending numerous hours playing sonic (and other games, but that is the one that sticks out right now) after getting out of college.i’ve played a number of the retro consoles, and while the graphics compared to things today are atrocious and the gameplay is lower, i really like the simplicity of some of the games, and the joy of going back in time a bit.yeah, i still want to get the intellivision (my second console) and the Atari Pong (my first – probably part of the retro atari 2600 game), but this one is the first I really remembered a lot of.

When I had both these consoles, I preferred the Sega. But now, 25 years later, I prefer the SNES. Probably mostly because of the Mario series. The SNES has aged well. Mario seems delightfully retro and still as fun today as before. The other games are mostly fairly primitive. For example, I LOVED Twisted Metal and Road Rash but can barely tolerate them now. And Streets of Rage and Golden Axe. Not a fan anymore though I remember enjoying them before. There are still a few gems, though. And very much worth having. (Especially if you hack).P.S. Controllers, both of them, are not great. The buttons frequently misread input (up when you are going right, etc.). Updated rating to reflect.

Review of Sega Genesis Mini. I’ve only had it a few days but I’m very happy with it. Physically identical to the original, just sized down. Great selection of games. Controllers feel very similar to original ones. Tip: for at least one game (Contra Hard Corps.), setting the languange to Japanese will give you the Japanese version of that game–which is much more forgiving and enjoyable than the US version.Minor comments–Only display options are aspect ratio (I use 4:3), CRT scanlines filter (didn’t like it), and some backgrounds other than black when using the 4:3 size. I’m happy with what’s available.Save game slots–there are 4 per game. There’s not an obvious timestamp or anything to show which game is the most recent, so before I power off I save one last time in slot #1.No rewind option, so be sure to save before that dangerous jump or hard boss.I’m happy and overwhelmed with so much to choose from. Didn’t have a Sega growing up so many of the games I’m playing for the first time.

While it is missing a few key titles, the Genesis Mini is currently my favorite mini retro console. It is well built and is a great recreation of the Genesis of old. I try to support efforts like this to encourage releases of other retro systems in the future. Well done Sega.

It Has 40 Games Including Megaman The Wily Wars And Games I Wanted To Play. You Can Actually Play Regional Games By Selecting A Different Language. The Only Two Cons I Would Say Is That Street Fighter 2 Special Champion Edition Is Also Required To Have A Genesis 6 Button Controller Since The Genesis Is Has 3 Button And Press Start If You Want The Kicks.Save States Doesnt Have Delete Feature. You Have To Use It Wisely Otherwise Itll Be Messed Up Your Progress.Overall Very Fun System Play With In Any Events.
