We have REALLY enjoyed playing this game!! We have played this card game with 4 different groups of friends and family and everyone who has played really likes it – even one of my friends who does not usually like to play games! It’s sort of addicting actually! After our first experience with the game, i have ordered it four other times as gifts! The game is simple enough for elementary aged children, yet interesting enough for adults. Our group of friends (all in our 50’s) enjoyed playing. Cards are colorful. Had to read through the rules a few times – but once they are understood they are easy to explain. I am very pleased that I came across this game. Also – you can play this game with up to 8 people – so that is also a plus.

I’m always looking for good games for after dinner. We especially play on the weekends after drinking some wine. Some games are more difficult, but this one totally works with wine night. We have a few non-gamers in the family, but they will play this one, too. It’s easy to pick up and goes pretty quickly. The fun part is the randomness of the cards. you don’t know what you have until you turn it over, so strategy only works to a degree. I would gift this to others and we’ve played every week since we got it.

Wow, I was really surprised by how much fun this game is. Everyone I have introduced this game to really loves it. Very colorful cards that range from -2 (dark blue) to 12 (red). It’s a card replacement game wherein the players try to get the lowest total score in their 4 x 3 (12 cards) matrix of cards on the table. Each round lasts about 5 to 7 minutes with experienced players. An actually game (first person to 100 points) lasts about 20 to 30 minutes. Reminds me of other colorful card games like Skip Bo, Uno, etc. This game is a wonder light game for all ages. I’ve even played with the full eight players and it still plays very well.Get this game!

Thrilling, annoying, deceptive, strategic, and addictive all describe Skygo. This colorful card game can keep you at the edge of your seat for quite a while. If you happen to be hungry while playing Skygo, well you are in luck, as the manufacturers claim that “when playing, your hands are free, so you can count points or eat snacks.” In other words, if you are at a family gathering playing and want to chow down on some food, go right ahead. You will not have to worry about dropping the cards as they are not meant to be kept in your hands but rather stay on the table in a 3×4 grid, of which the cards are initially facing down. If you like looking at the cards you have directly, this may not be the game for you. Sound strange and need more details? You may begin looking at your cards whenever it is your turn either by taking the card from the preceding player or the top card from the draw pile. This is where all the excitement starts! You could have the luck of a lottery winner by receiving a -2 (the lowest a card can go) or not so much when you pull a 12 (the highest a card can go) from the draw pile. The strategic part then comes in, as you decide where you want to place the card. You may get rid of a column by having three of the same upward facing cards. It may be nerve-wracking when you replace a downward facing card with the one you just chose as you could have just awarded the next person the card they have been aching for the past few rounds. The smartest move, however,.

Got this for the grandkids. We all enjoy playing it. One of our new favorite games and tell me, how does the youngest keep winning? LOL Great for the younger grandkids in improving their math skills. Not bad for us older folks either!

Best game ever invented!!!! My brother and sister in law introduced this game to us. I fell in love immediately. It was such a fun game. We can play a quick game if we want, but many times end up playing for hours because it’s so much fun. I ordered the game from retrolio while playing it. Haha. It was that fun. Later I showed my sister and her family. She loved it just as much as I did. She ordered it right then and there as well. Her 12 year old daughter learned to play quickly and loved it too. The entire trip she was begging to play it again and again.

I just got this game a few days ago, and have already played it many times with people of different ages. Skyjo is simple to teach, and easy to pick up and play… even for younger kids… but it’s also quite satisfying for order kids, teens and adults. On the most basic level, you are playing the deck against the array of cards that you are dealt, so it doesn’t have a strong "competitive" feel. This makes it great for anyone who just loves to play! It also enforces basic math, and even a bit of probability ( example- what are the chances of drawing another 5??). I think this game is perfect for classrooms to reinforce lessons. BUT it’s not just an educational tool. Its fun too. Play one round… or play several (to 100 points). This little game fits in really well with our family game night.

My husband and I are big game players. Sometimes we just want a light game to enjoy without having to think and stratigize so much. It’s not an overly long game to play so we can play several rounds depending on how much time we have to play. This game is easy enough for all ages to play so when the grands come we can enjoy this game with them. Some of the instructions were a bit confusing to understand but overall it is not a complicated game to play.

We love this game. I have played a different version of this game with a regular deck of cards. It is called golf. Same concept except the game ends after the 9th round, hence, the name golf. I prefer this game because it is a little more challenging because it is played with twelve cards instead of 9. However, we still use the rule to end the game after 9 rounds instead of the first one that reaches a score of 100.

Trying to find a fun card game for the kids for Christmas and this was one of the games I went with. I love playing games with the kids and we all enjoyed this! My kids are ages: 17, 15, and 11. The point of the game is to try and get the lowest score to win. There’s some luck and some strategy to this game, which I like. If you “go out” (flip all your cards over) first, you better make sure you have the lowest points! Otherwise your points double. My son and I decided to change the rules up and try to get the highest points to win, which was a fun twist. I can see this game getting “old” after a few rounds played in a row, but it’s one I will keep in the game wheel-house of fun ones to play.
