SERIOUSLY, I love this game. I haven’t played any other game since I downloaded it (50hrs already) from the eShop! It’s great for beginners and experts. There’s so much to do, even without completing the main story line, and with 12 VERY different life classes to play with it’s no wonder I can’t stop playing. Also I most say that to soundtrack is pretty cool too, I usually turn the volume off when I’m playing DS games, but the music in this game is REALLY good and draws you into the story and game play even more. Okay so back to life classes, you don’t lose abilities just because you switched lives, you may not have the enhanced you get from being in that life classes, but you can still do stuffs. LIKE for instance, I’m a Hunter, but I’m also a tailor, miner, blacksmith and cook. Each one helps with the other, I’m a hunter while I’m gathering materials, and when I need to craft stuff I switch. This is seriously the greatest game ever, I can’t wait to get the DLC. BTW I get nothing for saying all this, I just think it’s that AWESOME! Though I will say I may be a little biased because I LOVE Level 5 games… but no seriously, this is the greatest game I’ve ever played I’m not even close to completing it!

I can’t recommend this game enough. I’ve spent over 84 hours on it so far and it’s just absolutely fantastic. I tend to not enjoy games that are overly repetitive (looking at you, Lego), but though there is some backtracking in these games, the career process still makes it fabulously rewarding. For people who enjoy mini-games and never feel like there’s enough in a given game, this title has an entertaining if youthful plot and the career system is basically one long running mini-game. I cannot express just how much I adore this game!Without giving away any of the plot, a quick break-down of the career system:Collecting careers, where you wander around the map and do various tasks to get items to craft or sell.Crafting careers, where you can make armor, food, or weapons out of items you have bought or collected in other careers.Adventuring careers, where you basically go out and fight or hunt things (which will also allow you to collect materials). Not a fan of a given career type? There are others for you to try. You can buy and sell materials, so you don’t have to collect everything you use. A well-rounded experience in each of the given careers is required to really reach higher classes in one, however, unless you have a lot of extra in-game currency!I was really nervous about switching careers for the first time, but you can still use the talents of a given career (and continue to level it up!) while actively pursuing another, so it’s easy to build your skills more than o.

Provided dozens of hours of play, it does get a little grindy and has a very MMO-feel but you’re not required to do everything. It really lets you play at your pace, the story is cute with little real drama and really decent for even little ones. Not the greatest, but it’s a fun little time sink if you’re looking for a zelda style RPG.

I see some people don’t like this game but I really am having a lot of fun with it…I don’t usually take the time to write these but this game is AWESOME! If you don’t own it, get it…Its a lot of fun and so many things to do with more replayability than any game I have seen in a long time! So glad I bought it! :)

Fun!

This game kept me entertained. The main story is short, but there are plently of things to do after you beat the main story. You swtich between 12 different characters and the goal is to master each trade.

This is a very fun game. Especially in the US edition, the localization team has worked a lot of humor into the translation. Great for people who love RPGs. Quirky story, characters, and the different "lifes" (classes) gives lots of replay hours. Even though the Origin Island was added on as an extra money DLC unlike the japanese version, still extra fun hours worth the money.

I am enjoying this game. There are so many different lives to explore and quests to do that it keeps me busy. Even after you finish the main story, you can still enjoy boosting your character levels to achieve the ultimate life rankings for each job specialty. There is the Origin Island DLC content that you can purchase and download from the Nintedo e-Store that adds an extra island for you to explore.

This is good! Its quite like the sims combinded with a storyline; plus, its fantasy which makes it really cool. ^_^ Recommend it! Dont be fooled by the cartoon graphics. It actually has long words used in it, which is quite surprising. I cannot get off this game!

A creative game which combines aspects of animal crossing with typical RPGS. Level your character up in one of twelve different classes such as Archery, Carpentry, Fishing, etc. Finding, crafting, and fighting your way through the main story.Very in depth character customization leads to no two characters looking the same.
