For us, this retro gaming console is worth the purchase. It isn’t perfect but is really a great value for what it offers and that is a lot. It brings back memories and is good simple fun.The pros and cons are: + 168 games to choose from, many of which I have never heard of and will learn.+ Easy to use – on/off switch and simple controls.+ Rechargeable battery. I think the light is solid red when charging and blinks when it is fully charged.+ Can be played on the handheld console’s screen, or can be easily plugged into and using the TV screen as long as the TV has a video and audio in.+ A separate game pad/joystick could be attached via USB for 2 players to play at the same time.- Make quality is average to slightly above average.- The resolution and color of the graphics aren’t the greatest but then again it is old school computer games. – Likely again because of just the way the old programs are, the responsive of the gamepad and the screen isn’t always in sync, but you learn how to adapt to it for different games.- To get out of the game you are in, you have to press ‘r’ which takes you right back to beginning where you have to select the language, which then brings you to the list of games. A little tedious to have to do this every time.Overall, I would rate it a 4.5.
This is definitely a cheap handheld but it works well. As with most consoles with preloaded games, 90% are weird, often amusing, knockoffs, and it doesn’t allow you to add roms, but it does have mario 3, contra, super C, and tetris roms which work well and are what I bought it for. There is the noticeable screen tearing common to these kind of emulators but everything is playable, save for some rom issues, including super mario brothers, which is unplayable. The screen is okay but the colors aren’t as vibrant as more expensive handheld emulators. The d-pad is surprisingly good. The plastic is pretty cheap but again, for twenty dollars it’s worth it to play the preloaded NES games. I ended up purchasing a more expensive handheld emulator but still grab this one from time to time. If you aren’t sure if you want to spend more on a Bittboy or similar, this is a good option.
Mine has 500 games and they all seem to play very well. I really have no complaints at this price point. There is nothing complicated about the setup. Turn it on and choose your language, then scroll till you find a game you wanna play. Boom! You’re cookin with butane instantly. I bought as a gift, and I’m getting one for myself.
This is awesome! my only complaint is it’s light weight but hey it was only $22! Lol! LOVE super Mario brothers 3!!
Once I charged it, I played with it a little bit but had glitches in the games. Still worth the money!
My eight year old boy LOVES this thing. Hours of entertainment in a small package. Nice nostalgic games mixed with some bootlegged copies of others. All in all, well worth the money.
It’s nice smoother than others. Battery lasts long the controller is nice to no problems yet wish had headphone jack but I’m good without one.
Game list is odd. You have to dig s little to find Mario. Great little toy.
Great for the cheap price. Some games suck but most are great. I really love Dr. Mario. The only thing I don’t like is the menu music and the fact that there isn’t a headphone jack. Other than that, you can’t beat this time waster for the price. I used it during my trip to Italy during plane and train rides. The perfect time waster that wont break the bank. Especially if you aren’t a casual gamer.
It’s Nice to have at home to play onto a bigger TV with the adapter, or as I use it when I’m waiting at bus stops or doctors offices. You can control the volume and there’s a great selection. Some games I need to look up on a computer to understand how the game is played (there’s no instructions for what button does what or how it’s played). I recommend to get the version with 2 players so you can play some games together.
