I’ve played all FF games since the gameboy release Final Fantasy Legend, up to FF7 (except for FF5 and FF6), and I have to say that FF4 is very difficult. If you’re a vet to the FF games you will get far. Everyone gets far if they play the game it’s ment to be played. But the second half of the bosses in FF4 are really hard. You WILL have to level grind alot, and while on the topic of bosses.. just getting to the final boss is not something everyone will manage. It’s a 30 minute walk thru hell with no save spots, and this not including the final fight. I was at the max level with every character and had 0 escapes from previous battles, but just getting thru that last tower to the final boss forced me to escape as much as I could. When I finally reached the boss I was wiped away in no time. When watching a walk thru of the final boss there seemed to be a specific pattern of actions you had to take not to die (including turning a character into some hidden type of class which was never presented in the main storyline..). This goes for alot of the harder bosses, but with the final boss it was a very specific routine you had to take. Learning by trial and error ment reloading from that last spot and going thru the caranage again, perhaps many times, to find the correct way of battling the boss. Seriously difficult.Five things you have to do if you want to get more than halfway in FF4:*Save ALOT*Heal ALOT*Levelgrind ALOT*Throw the spell Slow on bosses*Throw Protect on your party w.

Final Fantasy IV on the DS is mostly a fun game that goes very light on the story, which sometimes borders on the absurd. If you come from the great era of computer RPG’s AND have played japanese RPG’s, then you know what to expect: there is no element of choice, there is a big focus on level advancement even though your stats are determined automatically, your role is already pre-determined and nothing you can do changes the outcome of events, and, finally, battles play an immense role.** STORY **Most people like RPG’s because these are games that, usually, can tell a good tale. Well, this is not such game. The story starts out fine and poses and interesting dilemma: you are a knight sent on a dark quest that raises suspicions about the king’s judgement even in a loyal soldier such as yourself. After a few events, you are forced to take on a rather personal mission to find out what is happening behind the throne which will lead to a wild, ridiculous series of events involving an ancient evil, companions that come and go and give their lives for your cause so easily that they make dying look fun, and all sorts of beasts and locations taken from a wild mix of all the world’s mythologies. Basically, put in a measure of every mystical tale you’ve heard, every mystical location you know of, and a few crazy, wild tales in a container and mix thoroughly. After playing this game for a while, nothing will surprise you anymore. You will have seen all sorts of absurd creatures and e.

Received the product in a timely manner and in perfect condition. This game is very fun and worth the money. I played this on Playstation years ago and I love the DS version even more! It is mostly like the Playstation version only with several tweaks. If you are looking for a game to entertain you and this catches your eye, I would personally recommend it.

SNES. DS. iOS. If there’s a gaming system that ends with S, you’re sure to find FF4 on it.You probably already know the storyline. A man turns from darkness to the light in order to save his country, his planet, and so on and so forth. Even if you didn’t play any of its many iterations yet, you’ve played something like it. Final Fantasy 4 was that influential and that prototypical. If it feels like you’ve seen it before, you probably have; it’s left its footprints in virtually all JRPGs since. The DS version is basically the exact same thing as the original SNES version… except it’s actually HARDER. I’ve been a gamer for decades now, and this game eats my lunch repeatedly! The original was tough, but this one is freaking nasty. The only other real change to the game, other than the beautiful and scene-stealing graphical upgrades which are worth the price of admission alone, is a weird kind of job skill system, where you’re able to add one or two skills per character, giving them some new abilities. For example: your paladin can use healing items at a much stronger efficiency, or your monk can block others from taking harm in battle. Honestly, it’s not that interesting an addition, and could have been left out entirely. As for the game itself, it’s a gem. It’s the video game version of a classic novel. Don Quixote on cartridge, a silicone Sybil, waiting to be discovered or rediscovered, one of the pinnacles of the JRPG genre and one of the very best video games of all time. Th.

I don’t have too much to say that hasn’t already been said in the other reviews, but wanted to write my own in support of urging anyone who has not played this remake to do so. Whether you played the original or not, you will likely fall in love with the remake. Much better than the DS Final Fantasy III remake (which was great in its own right), this epic classic remade is an example of what Square Enix needs to do with ALL of the early Final Fantasies. It is a shame that they haven’t done this with I or II or even V.The only complaint here is that the difficulty level towards the latter part of the game is quite ramped up, perhaps a little too much. But its worth the challenge. This is one of the most superb remakes I have ever played.

It is the first game of the series I’ve played and I really liked it. Well worth the price.

Fairly difficult, as it should be, it’s Final Fantasy. Graphics look about as you’d expect on a DS. Story is phenomenal and characters are great. Buy buy buy this game.

A lot of people will be turned off buy this version of the game’s difficulty. I grew up in a time when games were all difficult to an extent. All I can tell people is the game is really not as hard as everyone makes it out to be, it just requires time, and patience. Final fantasy 4 in my opinion has one, if not the best final fantasy stories out there. Anyone who is a fan of this series should def give this game a try, and if your are really having a hard time you can always pick up the strategy guide here on retrolio to help you out. I’m not gonna spoil anything for anyone who hasn’t played the game before, but give it a try you won’t be disappointed.

Final Fantasy IV is the best of the series. From the animation of the characters to the realistic scenery is quite impressive. The difficulty is very good as one would be bored easier if the play is not as hard. This game can keep your attention for a very long time as you get “hooked” on the play for hours it seems. This game is a make you think sort of game as your advancement depends on you knowlege and grasp of the items you buy and sell in the game. Overall a very good *****.
