Some say there’s nothing finer than a well-crafted automobile. The third title of the Gran Turismo series takes full advantage of the new PlayStation 2 game engine, which is capable of rendering about 20 million polygons per second–roughly 10 times the number of total polygons of the series’ previous installment, Gran Turismo 2.ran Turismo 3: A-Spec, which brings the series to the PS2, features over 150 of the world’s top performing sports cars, luxury autos, modified street runner, rally racers, and prototype evolutionary automobiles. Each car looks and handles exactly as they should, thanks to the detailed graphics and realistic physics. You are in for the ride of your life.

Ok, it’s 2008 at the time of this review and this game is super old. So why did I just buy it a few months ago? I got it for my PS3, and yes it works fine on a PS3. But the comparison between this game and the new GT5 prologue is amazing. The graphics seemed so amazing when GT3 came out, and now you almost feel bad for the game as you watch the pixelated cars make their way around the track. Still, the game is fun and if you have an old PS2 unit, you need to own this game as well as GT4.GT4 doesn’t work well on PS3, which is why I bought this one, by the way.

This game has everything that a driving enthusiast would want, with some nice exotic brands thrown in too. As far as graphics and game play, I believe that you will truly enjoy this as much as I did.

I use to play this game as a kid when my mom would take us over to one of her friend’s house. All my brother and I would do is play this game. Finally got it for my Playstation 2 and I’m loving it. It’ll always be a good game.

This is it, race fans – the finest racing game yet available. Nearly photorealistic visuals, stunning attention to real-world physics, and the feel of good old knock-down, drag-out racing. You can’t get any better than this.Single players can play arcade style races or enter simulation mode to compete on multiple-race circuits; there are different car classes, unlimited qualifying, and money to buy cars, parts, and other trinkets. Learning the tracks and your car is essential to successful driving; the manual comes with a few pages from the Skip Barber manual that will give you the basics. You’ll grit your teeth in frustration trying to beat a souped-up Daihatsu wagon in your stock Miata at the lower-echelon levels; and your brain will explode trying to pilot a Dodge Viper-based racecar around a track at speeds exceeding 150 miles per hour. Every aspect of the experience is realistic and adjustable, from tire camber to gear ratios; sound is awesome; and there are hundreds of cars to choose from. Music selection is a little sparse.Multiple players can compete on 1 screen, or the iLink cables and hub can be used to link up to 4 racers (requiring a PS2 and a TV for each of them.)I’ve never played a driving game this good – and i’ve played ’em all, starting with Turbo in the local pizza parlor at age 11 (did I just date myself?), to Pole Position, Hard Drivin’, Cruisin’, Vette, Crazy Taxi, Midnight Club Street Racing, the list goes on. If your passion has anything to do with.

My favorite. Works good and looks better on newer HD TVs than gt 4. Wish someday I could play gt sport. This game is the best Gran Turismo I’ve played, and there’s still more I have to do in the game. Best racing game, Forza 4 comes second, then probably gt 2(which I barely played but it’s got a simplistic simulation feel) then 4. 4 is definitely good too, but I stick with this ranking. I like the feel of gt 3 then forza 4 for the modern one. This game’s got graphics, far advanced in its time, and nice simulation feel. It’s like gt 2 hit puberty with no acne, just overall improvement especially in the physical details part.Plenty of cars of any racing from rally to formula. I wouldn’t say it’s complete with the car lineup since porsche isn’t there, but hey, Ruf is just as nice and it’s in the German lineup. The initial d trueno is there too if you got the itch to deliver tofus. Classic cars like Mazda 787b and Toyota ts020 are there, plus there’s a cool looking denso supra, Lancia rally car, castrol celica/supra rally car, and many others. Depending on your console forza 4s got nice modern lineup. But people online say gt6 is a nice one too for this generation racing. Don’t know about "real simulators" with the monthly payment, but I bet those feel super immersive and hardcore, as in lifelike.Gt3 is probably the first racing game to kind of simulate car tuning seamlessly. I’ve had fun in my younger years researching tunes online and I’m planning to search for more for.

The game is amazing, however it has two problems that i don’t like and that’s why i don’t say this game is perfect. You can race only against 5 others cars and that’s really not fun, and the other is that they are all dumbs! yeah! really! they don’t try to block you and they always follow the same path. So what is fun is this game are the cars that you can control and all the action to control them and adjust them

Amazing old school racing game! If you have yet to play this, it is a solid buy :)

  8. Kellie Boutin

Game works as should. Really good condition.
