Let me start off by saying that this is definitely worth the money (or at least the $30 I payed for it). It comes with Half Life 2 and 2 episodes along with it, Portal and Team Fortress 2. I didn’t know what to expect when I bought it but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of these games even thought they are at least 6-7 years old now. Half life has a great story line and really fun game play, Portal is challenging yet not too challenging whee you want to quit and Team Fortress is just loads of multiplayer fun!

  2. wyldwrh

So far I’ve only played portal on this. The others may be good too, but I bought it to play Portal. I started playing Portal with the realization that it was a puzzle solving game. What I didn’t realize is how much fun it would be. The puzzles were simple yet made you think. It is a little short, but there is some good replay value there too. The puzzles are great but what caught me off guard was the humor of the game.

This magnificent deal consists of 3 games and two expansion packs, Half life 2 and the first twi if three episodes, Portal, and Team Fortress 2.Half-Life 2 (and its episodes) is a first person shooter with a unique feel. Mysterious, exciting and mentally stimulating it has much to offer to gamers of all stripes.Portal is essentially a puzzle game, players are obliged to use a device to open two linked portals. Stepping into one portal and exiting out of the other, you are given various tests to pass, a pernicious obstacle course of sorts, the gameplay is challenging, dynamic and memorable.Team Fortress 2 is a multiplayer only affair. Players select one of nine classes each with their own set of weapons and abilities. Team work is necessary to win each match. The Orange Box is definItely one of the best deals of all time, three games with gargantuan replay value, The Orange Box belongs in every game library.

  4. The Big V

I initially bought this game so that I could play Portal. What a surprise, Team Fortress 2 is really fun with the only drawback being it is online only. I don’t know how much longer the servers will be up but it seems like the game has a huge following.I also started playing Half-Life 2. It’s a first person shooter where I am basically running from these creepy guards. I haven’t gotten too far, but I really enjoy the game.

Great game the box was cracked but it’s ok with me..

  6. Klew

I was not a fan of any valve products before I bought this. I am now a convert! Portal of course is amazing but the Half-Life 2 and Episodes are incredible. Incredible. And Team Fortress 2 is no slouch. So much replay here.Gameplay – 10/10 brilliant pacing, exciting sequences, and games that don’t treat you like you’re 5. Also, innovative mechanics, very very few bugs, and stable performanceGraphics/Art – 10/10 especially for it’s time. It still holds up very well. The art direction on these games is some of the finest ever in the industry.Story – 10/10 for all but TF2, which doesn’t really have (or need) one. Minimalist but perfectionist storytelling, throughtful and meaningful plots.Writing – 10/10 especially Portal. Self-explanitorySound – 9/10 ambient, creative, interesting but not groundbreaking.Replay value – 9/10 for the Box as a whole, mostly in Portal challenges and TF2Yeah, this Box is an all-time favorite.

I never thought this game would be so good. Finally decided to buy it after many months of my friend telling me to and i’m so glad i did. Half Life 2, Episode 1 and Episode 2 are great! Action, adventure, puzzle, humor all in one. I haven’t played Portal too much yet…since i’m really not good with puzzle games, but i will definitely give it a try. Team Fortress 2 is so much fun! Surprisingly there’s still many people that play this. Ample variety of characters with awesome sense of humor.Definitely recommend this game!

Arrived today Friday, it is in excellent condition: both the original packaging and the disc are outstanding. Thanks so much. This is one of great Xbox games

  9. Ben

I beat Portal the day I got The Orange Box. It was short but a fantastic game. I beat all of the Half-Life 2 games and thought they were great also. I can’t wait for the next one. I will warn you that the final battle in Half-Life 2: Episode 2 is rather difficult. I couldn’t even beat it with invincibility cheats on. I had to use a different cheat to unlock the last chapter. Maybe I’m just not skilled enough but I thought it was pretty hard. Anyway, haven’t tried Team Fortress yet, I bet it’ll be good.

Fell in love with Portal 2. Glad there was an earlier version. Looking forward to more!
