Wanted to purchase a new game, not used as it was a gift. Shipping was quick and the kid is very happy

Half Life 1, Half Life 2, Portal, and MORE in one box for this cheap? This is probably the best video-game deal of all time, both in terms of the quality of game you get and hours of gameplay per dollar. I wish all games came in bundles so awesome.

First off I rated this game a 5 stars because this game sucked me into the story since the very start. I’m talking about half life two, the story is kind of confusing at first since I never played the first Half life. All I did was go on youtube to look up the first games lore and I have to say the universe of Gordan Freeman is very intriguing to say the least. The game really pulled me in that much more since I knew what was going on. The shooting mechanics feel solid and responsive. The feeling of killing an alien and or a Combine solder feel really good as well. It was hard to put the controller down to be frank….The weapon slots are easy to access whenever you want to switch a gun on the fly. Yes this game has weapon slots no carrying just two weapons like modern games. This has a very old school fps feel. The game essentially feels like you are on an adventure and the reason I keep bringing up the word feel is this game has a unique style of fps gameplay that you just don’t see anymore in modern fps.The art style for a decade old game is very impressive as well. You see how the world is on the brink of total devastation that brings you to a total investment of the game. It has great facial animation for the characters you see down the line. Very L.A Noire if you ask me with the facial animations. This game has aged very well since its first release back in 2004. It can go toe to toe with even some of the more recent video games being released. I just have to give credi.

Note: Review is written by my teenaged son.Having finally played every game in this package, I figured it was finally time to write a review. The short version is this: This package is amazing. It contains three of Valve’s most-loved games, and I enjoyed every one of them.At first I just bought it for Portal, which I quickly discovered was worth the price of admission. Sure, it’s a relatively short game, but if you’ve never played Portal before, it’s a highly entertaining first playthrough. The charm of GLADOS’s dry, sometimes murderous quips, the excitement of finally figuring out a difficult puzzle, and of course the fun of using a portal gun all make for a very enjoyable experience. At first, Team Fortress 2 didn’t really appeal to me, as I normally play COD Black Ops (Yes, I’m one of those). But when I got into it, I found it quite fun. The variety of weapons and abilities is appealing, allowing for both offensive and defensive playing styles. Unfortunately, I can’t really recommend this package for that, as there are not an abundance of people playing TF2 on the 360. I imagine it would be far more engaging on the PC, where controls are better, DLC is available, and opponents are less sparse. Having said that, there is fun to be had on the 360 when you get in a really good lobby, and it certainly doesn’t bring the entire box set down. And now I come to Half-Life 2 and its episodes, which, for those who don’t know, are basically like extensions to Half-Life 2’s stor.

I had first gotten these games when they first came out and just recently wanted toplay the again. I found that these game are still great even after several years havepast. The graphics have aged slightly but I feel that they still look great and I stilllove the story of half-life 2 and portal. You can’t go wrong with these games.

Market ReviewI purchased this product mainly for Portal. My friend had let me play it before I had an Xbox and I wanted my gf to have the same experience that I had as I really enjoyed the game. Portal sells on the Xbox Live arcade for $15 and since this was $20 for Portal, the Half-Life 2 series AND Team Fortress 2.. I was easily sold. Great value for the price.Overall Product ReviewThe Orange Box is a great Experience for fans of the First Person Shooter (FPS) genre. Filled with something for everyone to enjoy whether you like something short and sweet, long and epic, or if you just want to shoot stuff. This being said, if you don’t enjoy FPSs.. this is not for you.. and Team Fortress 2 requires you to be an Xbox Gold member. So keep that in mind.Individual Game ReviewsPortalPortal is definitely a MUST PLAY game if you enjoy games that can fully immerse you in the world. It’s strange to call it a FPS, since in all honesty, you don’t really shoot anything in the traditional sense. The game is a full experience that stands by itself as it begins as a quirky puzzle game and slowly grows into something much more. I won’t spoil anything, but I highly recommend that you try and play the game in one sitting as it seriously will mess with your mind. That being said, the experience is pretty short. But quality over quantity, easily a game that everyone should experience.Half-Life 2 – Episodes 1-2Although the gameplay is slightly dated, Half-Life 2 is a great adventure game that puts.

If you are reading this review it is probably because you are considering getting this game. If you get this game you will not be wasting your money. I got the game within 3 days on standard shipping, and did not spend any more than the advertised price ($19.71 at the time). I have had the game for a little over a month with about 40 hours of in game time and I still love it! The game play is great and there is plenty of content. The graphics and plot are very believable as well as extensive and well thought out. For a game that has five different sub-games, it is a very good buy. The only downside to the game is that I feel like I missed the first half of the story. All in all I would say it was a great buy and I would recommend it to anyone. Happy shopping! :)

  8. Branden Steinagle

Portal – short and simple, but one of the most innovative games of the past 10 years. The story is built around wonderful characters that you want to revisit.Half Life 2 + Ep. 1 & 2 – Wow. Half Life 2 is remembered as one of the best games on PC for several reasons. One being the awesome gravity gun, but that’s just a part of an amazing series. Suspense, action, and fun.Team Fortress 2 – Fun multiplayer on the PC, not very prominent on PS3 or Xbox 360

  9. Diego

The case and disc came without scratches or any problems. The only problem i had is one that does not have to do anything with the product but i know that other people could have.If you are playing the game with the xbox one console then chances are you stumbled upon a bug where you can’t save the game in the cloud because there is no space left on it,you will have to enter the saves through the original xbox 360 saves. To do this you need to press and hold both the start button and the button on the opposite side of the start button. After that the original xbox 360 menu should appear, then go to manage storadge and delete the save data of the games you are not using. The game should work after that.

Great games (albeit they are a bit old). Everyone should play Half-Life 2, since it’s such a significant game and has a great history behind it.
