This game had everything. There is much to cover, but I will do what I can.First of all, a fantastic story with its share of plot twists and surprises you can expect from BioWare. Memorable characters with uses so varied and unique that it really made them matter. Quality voice acting, on par with KOTOR. Gorgeous graphics and larger locations (hence less loading points) than KOTOR had. The best of all was the combat system. It is so in depth and just so fun, yet utterly accessable. There is basically a five minute learning curve. Some games can take hours or days to figure out. Jade Empire gets you quickly immersed into its easy system and doesn’t compromise anything while doing it.The game has definite replay value as well. There are four different character types (balanced, fast, strong, magic) each with extremely different and satisfying combat styles. The character models themselves are nothing short of spectacular. Oh, and not to mention that the game has three different endings. The most satisfying aspect of all is the type of game and the way it plays out. It is classified as a Roleplaying game, but is far from your typical RPG. The roleplaying aspect is all in the dialogue. Unlike most, there are only three different stats you will maintain (body, spirit, and mind). They work well, and will make a very unique character depending on how you choose to level up. You will also learn many different styles of fighting as opposed to having a ton of inventory. You will find se.

Never gets old. I’ve played it 100 times before, lost it, and will now play a bit again.

I really did love this game way back when it was released. Since then I haven’t owned the game since I lost it. I’m so glad I was able to find this game. It’s a game by bioware that follows their RPG type of game. Very fun I recommend it to those that have played and liked the knights of the old republic star wars.

The graphics are a bit dated now and I would have loved more customization. Other than that I’m finding it to be amazing! I’ll likely update this after I finish the game. So far I definitely recommend it!

I remember being a kid and watching all of the old Kung-Fu classics that this one television station used to show on lazy Sunday afternoons. Most were cheesy. Some were outright over the top. For example, there was this one movie (I can’t remember the name of it) where a monk with a bo-staff was wandering through a graveyard and all of a sudden several ninjas erupted out of the ground underneath him and started stabbing him in the gut. His intestines were hanging out of his pant leg and he STILL kept slaughtering them by the dozens. The only way they beat him was when he stepped on a loop of his own intestine and went down on one knee and the only pain he showed was this puzzled look on his face. And that was another thing about those movies; no one seemed to die simply. If one of the protagonists got killed, they had to stagger around, looking enraged, take out a couple more enemies WHILE THEY WERE DYING, and then do a backflip and three front somersaults before they went to the ground and were still. But they were still good fun to watch when you had nothing else on your plate for the day.Jade Empire is a successful creation of this type of fun. The outlook is a little more serious, but playing this game evokes a deep feeling of notstalgia ‘for me younger days’. Plus, the play time ranges anywhere from thirty to forty hours, MUCH longer than the time it took me to get through any of those chop-sockey films. If you like fantasy-based roleplaying games with a twist,.

I had it before years ago for the original Xbox. All I’ll say is that Bioware is masterful in game storytelling and execution of gameplay. I find it regrettable that they were purchased by EA as I feel that 95% of their ideas will get thrown away.

I really enjoyed this game. It was a good mix of RPG, martial arts, and fantasy action. Let me list the pros and cons of the game instead of forcing you to sort through a few paragraphs of crap before getting to the important stuff.Pros:There is a lot of variety to the game. Numerous characters, martial styles, partners and the like. You could play it over and over again and never have the same experience.Great graphics, the game is one of the most visually pleasing games I have played.Wonderful soundtrack.Challenging but not impossible.Enjoyable storyline that really pulls you in.Extended, it can take 20-30 hours to get through once without all the side quests.Cons:It can be too easy if you put it on easy. If you start to get bored though, try playing it on grand master.I wish you could take more than one person with you at a time, but that’s just a nit pick. It’s not too bad.Parts can be really full of talking, and I mean, at least 20% of the game is talking. Feel free to skip it all though, and you’ll still know the storyline.Limited environtments. I love places with snow and rain and everything and while there’s some rain, that’s pretty much it.So here you go. I hope this helps you decide if you want the game or not. If you’re still not sure, rent it and have fun.

I very much gravitate toward RPG video games, with some of my favorites being the Zelda series (despite its childish atmosphere) and the original D&D style Final Fantasy series. One of my other interests is kung fu movies, so Jade Empire is right up my alley, combining China and kung fu with RPG gaming. Fantastic! Anyone who has played Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic will instantly recognize Jade Empire’s game engine. The same great enviroments and graphics, and the same dual morality system are in place, custom tailored to a kung fu setting. In addition, the game has an excellent combat system, and you will find yourself battling humans, ghosts, demons, and animals, among other things. Jade Empire’s storyline is GREAT, and is extensive and complex without getting bogged down in too many twists and turns. The game’s length is just right (my initial playthrough lasted about 27 hours). The voice acting is superb, as are the quests and sidegames that are available. Add in several different characters you may play as (and you may chose either the Open Palm (good) or Closed Fist (evil) way, and your replay value is extensive. This truly is an immersive game! The ‘Limited Edition’ version of the game comes with a second disc which contains a featurette and an extra playable character. The ‘making of’ featurette is interesting, but definitly not must-see. The addition of the extra monk character is cool, but he is probably the worst of all the playable characters (his weap.
