My mother loves playing computer games and loves this product. No longer does she only watch TV, this game keeps her occupied.

I mean to give this game a four and a half star review, but four stars will have to suffice. The challenge of Kid Chameleon is legendary. As a kid, I played this game with a friend that had rented it, and I had no idea that it was such a long game. I got on a pretty killer roll and got about 25 levels in before I got sloppy and lost, but I couldn’t believe how long the game was. It’s only years later with the help of the internet that we now know that this game was intended to be one of the most grueling platform game challenges. It’s an extreme platforming and puzzle solving marathon with no password system and no ability to save. 3 deaths, 2 continues, Game Over. There are ways to earn extra lives and continues though.I did not like this game during the hay-day of the 16 bit systems, and I was much more content playing games like Zelda A Link to the Past, Super Mario World, Sonic the Hedgehog, Streets of Rage, and Street Fighter II. My original thinking was that the game just seemed to go on and on with no end, so after my initial play I passed on the title. Years later though, I’ve come to appreciate this game for what it is: One of Video Game’s Ultimate Challenges. Only serious gamers keen on a tremendous challenge would have a chance at succeeding at this game. The gameplay is fairly original, although many reviewers can’t help but compare this to Super Mario Brothers. On a personal note, I see it as a bit of a hybrid between Sonic and Mario due to the extensive non-linear.

This is def 1 of the best games of all time. If you don’t have it, buy it. Also see: Zombies Ate My Neighbors

  4. Tara Lamboley

This is my favorite platforming game ever! From the awesome powerups to creative level design, this game is a masterpiece. After trying for about a month, I finally beat the game, using over 20 lives on the last level, "The Final Marathon". Be warned, this game is HARD! But if you can beat the levels and figure out the warps, it’s super rewarding. Dare I say this, but this game puts Mario 3, Mario World, and Sonic 2, 3, and Knuckles to shame. Not Sonic CD, though. That game is awesome.

I still play this game and I am 41 years of age! This is such a fun game, I even have my kids hooked on it. Like the other reviewer said get this and Zombies Ate My Neighbors, my all time favorite! Also check out for Nintendo the original Adventure Island. They just don’t make games like they used to, sorry I am totally old school.

Superb condition, everything was included as though I purchased it off the shelf in ’92.

  7. Allexus

This game is a platformer. Some-what like Vectorman or Sonic, but you don’t shoot protons nor do you run like the wind and grab golden rings for no apparent reason other than the fact it’s tied to your life force. No. You go through levels changing into differnt things. Differnt and diverse game play. Fun for the whole family!

  8. Jim

This was a fun Genesis game back in the day. Got another copy not too long ago and had forgotten how tough this game really is. Still enjoy the concept of the game and the gameplay is pretty good. Still enjoyable despite the difficulty

  9. CharlieGone

Like I said, a great game. The graphics are great and best of all it is a lot of fun. Some things though kind of bug me. For example, the game play controls are bit “slippery.” Sometimes when you try to jump on a block you will slip and fall of easily. I have no idea whether it is the character you are (the samurai, jason, etc) but it does make the game a bit frustrating sometimes. The music is pretty good, although it is a bit repetative. The possibilities of weapons, items, etc is awesome, which is probably kid chameleons best assest (and what makes it so much fun.) Be aware though, this game is NOT easy. It is difficult, especially in the levels where you have to avoid the meat grinder following you! Also it is LOOOOONNGGG! There are at least 50 plus levels you have to go through, not including the alternate levels. Anyways..get this game you will enjoy it for hours and hours, trust me!

The game was easy for me but some of the stages were hard but I passed them without codes.
