Yeah, there’s basically no other way to put it. Kid Chameleon is a Super Mario clone. From bashing blocks to jumping on enemies, this game has “Mario” written all over it. That’s not to say the game is bad, though. It emulates the Mario series greatly, and that can only be a good thing. There are also some very cool power-ups that are exclusive to this game, such as turning into a ninja, complete with sword. The levels also have really interesting designs. While there isn’t really anything else to say about this game, if you love Mario games, you should get this, considering there isn’t an official Mario game ever released for the Genesis.

It sits easily in my top 10 for sega. ive owned other systems but Sega and Kid Chameleon are unmatched at the top. Some really neat helmets/characters for the time.

Some video games have ninjas, other games have knights in shiney armor, and others have guys riding around on hover-boards. Kid Chameleon has all three; as well as a fly, a tornado maker, a ray-gun enthusiast, a rhino, and probably some other things I’m forgetting. The levels are seemingly never-ending and the graphings are good becasue, well, they are like nothing else…as is this game. This game was great, I remember not giving a care about whether I beat it or not, because I had so much fun playing it. The Kid traveled in between layers that seemed to never end. One second you’d be in a metropolis city, the next you’d be on an island paradise, seconds later you’d be warped to the depths of hell. Kid Chameleon is a fine game indeed. It has what many of the modern games lack — genuine imagination. Kid Chameleon was and is to this day a gem. Quite possibly the finest game ever made.

In 2017 I still play this game, much more than any other Sega Genesis game. The artistic aesthetics: 11/10The music is great. The gameplay is awesome. Boiled down it’s a simple platform maze game. But the maze levels are designed superbly. The helmets give beautiful tasteful aesthetic complexity to the gameplay, and the way in which the player can use these to reach shortcuts in the game is just beautiful. The challenge rises steadily and gradually to the point of perfection. The scale is of epic proportion — which is why, in 2017, I still play and love this game.

The idea of virtual reality was starting to float around and Sega lacking the actual means to attain virtual reality made a game where the character is PLAYING a virtual reality game that takes your life should you lose. This game is BRUTALLY long with no saves or even passwords to save your progress. The only way to "quickly" return to where you are is by taking warp spots which put you an undisclosed number of levels ahead. You get no indication of how far you are and since this games is quite long and difficult, being able to know how far you are would help quite a bit. Problems aside it is still a fun Genesis game to play/own

This is very challenging and fun because you can have multiply levels and 9 changing helmets with different ablilities to help you in your quest.
